Valve is known for using the same elements over and over again. Lake actually isn't an exact copy of the map, but then again they weren't really creative when making it either. Still not bad.

Well, the map design ist clearly based on the finale map of the L4D1 Death Toll campaign.

I do agree it looks a bit like Left 4 Dead 2. But that's not bad. I welcome this new map design and pallet to CS. I think it fits in great, and looks and feels amazing. I really like this map.

Didnt like the map very much... too busy visually. Plus, might be just me, but I felt the mouse a bit laggy, like if was playing battlefield.
And the game mode is fun, but 10 rounds is way too short - maybe because we don't have all the guns yet..?

They only share the setting (lake side house), clearly the geometry is original in lake. Sure they began with death toll (shore line is the same) but every single thing was modified to the point where nothing is the same.

The map reminds me of "Estate" from MODERN WARFARE 2, except you can go on the roof...

There will never be a half-life 3. There will only be half-life 3d, and then the series will die.

In my opinion, the reason Valve doesn't post news for hl3 is that they don't want another leak version spreading over the internet.
The longer it takes the players expect more, so i hope hl3 won't disappoint us.

Wow, not only do the weapons fire like L4D ones but the maps look like them too. It's funny L4D was originally a CS mod, now it's the other way around.

I think the map is nice, but it really feels like L4D, and I'll never get over that AK model... just doesn't feel like CS.

I knew they'd copied this over from L4D. Yeah they definitely moved everything around, but to me those two photos make it look like they just copy pasted.

It's seriously just L4D: Deathmatch isn't it?

lol, the reason HL2 was leaked was because some dude was tired of waiting without seeing any footage of HL2.

I really like this map a lot. I wish it was a little bigger, of course. Maybe they will release a larger version for Classic: Defusal style play.

The map looks fantastic best CS map Ive seen so far. If only the other maps looked so good.

Yeah gotta agree with you.

The other maps look so grey and boring compared to de_lake. I wish they would remake the maps, so they would be more color full like de_lake

Other maps would look nice if they didn't desaturate the colors.

I think it is fine using l4d maps. Besides they are hugly improved and look great. Also I think they are perfect for Gungame.
