Anyone still experiencing this? I bought the game and running this in max settings or lowest settings makes no difference in stuttering. My PC is not the problem.
Nvidia Geforce 540M 2Gig
8GB DDR3 Ram
I7 Core
1TB HDD
Anyways, I've been reading there's been a problem with this game, but it' actual unplayable for me. As soon as you start the game and move the mouse to move/view it's stuttering really bad.

Yeah its a common problem, I was tracking it on their own forums. They shifted the blame to AMD and said it will be fixed when they do it. (this is AMD graphics card users, as they were hit hardest by the stuttering issue) And the 12.2 drivers have lessoned the problem for most users.
I don't recall them every saying there was a problem with Nvid cards. But you could try their forums. The steam forums are 3rd party after all, better to go to the head of the beast then poke at its tale.

Yea I will not be buying this game until this is fixed, ridiculous that it's been months without a patch. I've seen NVidia users complain too.

ATI user, and was working fine the last time I tried it (this was after that ridiculous 7Gb patch).

Ok so I did some test with this game.
I had the suffering issue as well and I've found out a workaround to "fix" it.
Here's my spec;
i5 760 2.8ghz
8gb ddr3 1333mhz
2x GTX 460 1GB
Acer 24" 1080p monitor.
What I tested so far (keep in mind that I did try with Maximum settings in-game and Lowest settings, it does not affect the stuttering issue):
Fullscreen - 1920x1080 = playable but not smooth (stuttering)
Fullscreen - 1600x900 = playable a lot smoother but still stuttering and doesn't look really good compared to 1920x1080.
Fullscreen - 1280x720 = playable, really smooth, a little bit of stuttering and on my monitor, 720p looks horrible for some reason.
So I was like.. what the hell ?
Went back in the game, set back everything to Maximum settings and set back my 1920x1080 resolution, changed the Fullscreen mode to Windowed mode and guess what ? NO MORE STUTTERING!
I tried with a friend on his computer and that fixed his stuttering issue as well!
For some reason, the stuttering comes from the Fullscreen mode.
I don't mind playing Windowed Mode since I still can play 1920x1080 and the game looks beautiful and now runs perfectly!
Try it! :)

I noticed some stuttering in town but not once I left town. Sporting an AMD 6670 1 gig @ 1920 x 1080. It's not enough to detract from my enjoyment of the game, but I will try the windowed mode after work :) Thanks +rep

Changing to windowed mode fixed the stuttering, but I cant play like that, looks horrible plus I keep minimizing the window, or hovering over show desktop etc
for the record my specs:
I7 920 @3.0 gig
6 gig ram
ati xfx 5870 gfx on 12.8 cats

Well, even if you are using Windowed mode, you can still set up resolution to 1920x1080 or whatever the resolution you use in Fullscreen mode so it doesn't affect the quality of graphics but yes, the problem with the "hovering over the desktop" is kinda driving me nutz lol

the annoying stutter may be because you dont have a graphics card or decent grahics for games
