Boss: Scarlet Fitch - Problem

Hi,

After it seems Alex has killed Scarlet Fitch he doesn't endup back in her room but remains where the battle took place. Have I done something wrong? This is after I spent a long time trying to figure out how to do the combos and there also only appears to be one wave of attacks.
