Question about MLB2k12 'My Player'

Am I able to draft 'My Player' into my franchise team?

The short answer: No.

The only way to come even close to that is to go into 'Management' to completely recreate your 'My Player' player using 'Create Player', save a custom roster, load that custom roster, then start a new 'Franchise' game.

There are numerous options when creating the player, so beware. I suggest viewing the stats of several other players for comparison before you just max everything out. (Not all tendencies should actually be maxed...)

There are also two options regarding creation of the custom roster itself after the player is created. (And please, be sure to use a custom name when saving the custom roster -- do not overwrite the 'Default' roster.) The first option would be to assign that player to the team you wish to manage in your franchise game, and then continue on to edit the team's Lineup/Positions/Rotation accordingly. The alternative would be to leave the player as a free agent on the custom roster and attempt to sign him from within the franchise game itself, then edit all the same stuff. (The second option carries some risk because another team could potentially snatch that player up before you...)

No player you add to a custom roster will progress in abilities during a 'Franchise' game like a 'My Player' character does, though. Such players would progress (or regress) just as any other player within any franchise game would.

Ive been having nothing but issues with 'my player'. I have two save games and both continue to lock up after every game so I cant advance.

The first save I was about 5 games into it, and now whenever i finish the game it locks up and I have to CAD the game. Played the same game 5 times trying different graphics setting, graphics drivers etc and finally decided maybe something was screwed up with the save. Started a second player, finished my first game, and now my next appearance is a practice, Ive tried paying through it three times and once complete its locking up every time so I cannot continue again.

My favorite part of the game is the my player. To bad I wasted my money on a huge piece of dog dung. Hopefully a patch will come out, but chances are, there will not be.

I havent had the issues you are having, but i had to roll a catcher or an outfielder. I was so tired of the AI bugged out throws. sometimes My player has been moved 15 feet because of the terrible AI. 2k should be ashamed of simply pushing this one out with no effort put in to appease their licensing deal. it is utterly terrible.

I purchased this game tonight and I have the exact same problem. My first player made it through 10 games or so. Then I ran the "Performance Benchmark" for the first time. Ever since then at the end of my players next game it freezes up. I did as you did and made another player but I get one game out of him....at the end of that game; Freeze. I've changed every video setting I can think of to no avail. This is total bull ♥♥♥♥. I WANT MY MONEY BACK! Or a fix! :mad:
