Here's what all got changed:

-Fixed ways to get stuck in a troublesome room.
-Decreased the difficulty on a prohibitively hard room.
-Adjusted the sound on one of the tiles to be less ear shattering
-Reminder about Flash using cookies to save
-Redundancy check for erasing a save
-Fixed some map display issues
-Added map moving
-Added auto save, will auto save when you complete a room
-Fixed some lag issues. Any lag issues that persist are, as far as I can tell, an issue with Flash and beyond my control. Sorry if that applies to you.
-During the game you can now press 'H' to reveal the actual mouse.

It'll be easy to tell you have the update, there's a little 1.3 on the title screen!

My apologies, it seems like when I said the 1.3 update was live, it was only live for Macs. Working on getting that sorted out.

Using seeds to unlock a room could get the player stuck if it leads to an area that requires a power to get back out of. I used seeds to unlock the key room in the lower left area that prevents access to the sequence of rooms with the upgrade if you don't have a previous upgrade (room with a narrow vertical shaft that you fall down into with lights in roughly a J formation at the bottom). That way I managed to enter the upgrade room with nothing but the teleport power (didn't unlock any other rooms). The second to last room in the sequence after the upgrade was unbeatable without the glow power. I had to use another 5 seeds to unlock that and return to the main level since it's not possible to return without beating that room.

Any prayer that this game will get Steam cloud somehow so we aren't at the mercy of Flash cookies like Machinarium? After losing my progress once in that game, I've lost interest in playing it again.

Hate to sound childish, but the save file issue is preventing me from buying the game. I'm sold otherwise (though I'm generally unfavorable towards flash games being sold due to issues like this, limited hardware accel support, etc).

I understand the save file gripe. It's an unfortunate limitation of Flash, and there isn't much, if anything I can do about it while still using Flash.

There are ways you can preserve your save, but it involves manually finding the save and backing it up.

Eventually the plan is to do a C++ version. I simply don't have the time to get it done until at least the summer.

Fair enough, I understand the logic behind employing Flash/Air as they're easy to dev for, multiplatform, web-based (if you so choose) and a million other reasons. Unfortunately, all platforms have shortcomings, and Flash as a client gaming platform I find to be rather lacking in some things I find important.

That being said, this game looks amazing and the short play I had in browser had me hooked. I will throw my money at you if you can quell my fears about save-games and maybe toss in some steamworks magic ;) If it takes too long, I may do so regardless!

I got this from one of the indie bundles and started playing it today. Great game! Since you're planning on a CPP version I'll wait for that to play it through though. Flash is okay, but I'd enjoy it more with (maybe?) achievements and a better "port."

Thanks! That seems to be the consensus, so that's been what I'm aiming for. No real ETA yet, but I've been plugging away at it.

I like the game quite a lot and I've played through most of it a long time ago. I lost that savegame though so now I needed to start over which I have absolutely no problems with because the whole puzzle concept is just awesome :)
But back then and also now again after I've played for a short moment the lag/delaying is killing me :( It's like there's some memory leaking building up in Flash somewhere or something... It would be very awesome if you recreated the game in C++ so it runs smooth all the time, have a better savegame system, and some achievements could be a nice addition as well.
I'm not going to continue playing the game now with the lag and all, I guess I'll wait for the C++ game.

I only have one gripe about the game which is that I absolutely hate those beings that turn off the light blocks. I only get frustration out of them, I'm not enjoying to clear those rooms in the slightest... Back then I used seeds for pretty much all the rooms where those guys were in :( Personally I would prefer for those guys to be completely removed but I guess that will never happen.
