Screen just flickers on xp.

Hmm the screen just flickers on my lads computer.
Running winxp so it's not aero prob or out.

Is there any way to fix this flicker?

I'm experiencing the same problem (XP 32bit), verifying file integrity or updating graphics drivers didn't help.

same here, running WinXP 64bit, GeForce 8600 GTS, drivers from last month

Geforce 9600 GTO, unsuccessfully tried the most recent drivers and the previous version.

You'll need to turn off the hardware acceleration. Game won't be any slower, but the Steam overlay won't show up.

Right click on the game, options, set launch options, add /DIB, press ok and then launch the game. If /DIB doesn't work try -DIB.
