View Full Version : Might be worth it, go with the collection

If you like the idea of Majesty, this is worth it. If not, then not. If you don't know how indirect orders work, watch a video or play the demo.

Should you decide to buy the game, buy the collection. It contains the three addons.
NOTE: You can buy the collection if you have Majesty 2 already, if you choose so. They are separate entries in the library. Although there probably would be no reason to do so, except the ingame DLC (see below). This has the side effect of the DLC not looking as if it is bought when it actually is included in the collection. This can be confusing.

http://store.steampowered.com/app/73020/ - this includes all DLC, even if it is not marked green individually.

Also, there is more DLC available ingame. Open the DLC tab there. If you buy the Majesty 2 collection, you get all of it for free.

I haven't been keeping track of this game, but from what I hear there's STILL no Sandbox mode? I love this game to death, but Sandbox mode was really the only mode I liked to play.

Also, I've heard varying opinions of the difficulty of missions and was wondering about that as well.

I just added this game to my Wishlist yesterday. I can't believe my luck.

After being disappointed that the GamersGate version wasn't Steam compatible I'm glad that they decided to pull this one out of the bag :)

May as well go with the full collection.

It seems you can buy Majesty 2 again even if you own collection. Pretty stupid imo.

I paid full price for all of the DLC and got my money's worth.
$4.99 for everything is a steal, you can't go wrong here.

Perhaps as a gift?

Perhaps as a gift?

No, for the own library. Which however makes sense the other way round, as pointed out above.

be aware though that the 2nd Majesty installation is not a simulator, its a strategy game, there is as much room to play sim city as there is in say homeworld.

With the Collection you will never run out of Missions, you have the main campaign and 3 full expansion campaigns, in one of those you play another race.
There is also a fanmade campaign.
And then there are like 30 single-map challanges. You will get tired of this game before you complete everything.

If you like strategy, this is worth it, but its NOT a builder game.

Damn I don't have enough money on my paypal to buy it, and nobody wants to trade it for my stupid bundle keys... I'm downloading the demo now, but I think I'll definitely like this game.

Trade tf2 stuff for it. Easy to get it with 2 keys and a refined metal for the collection

Don't have any tf2 stuff (inventory (http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198038648692/inventory/#440)), but thanks for the tip!

If you already have base game + Kingmaker which is worth it:

- Don't buy the other 2 DLC
- Buy the other 2 DLC
- Buy the complete package for the 'extra' DLC

Your BMOC is fairly valuable. You should be able to trade it for a $6-8 game, easy.

Catch is, you're not a premium..

Put $5 into steam, spend .49 to buy something in tf2, and keep the 4.51 to spend at a later date, and trade the BMOC for the game. Would be easy enough to find someone willing to do that :p

72/100 is a decent score, I'm still wondering wether I should get it or not :)

Is it popular online ? Isn'it boring too fast ? I'm already playing with a 260 games account.

I've actually never played online for either majesty 1 or 2 :\

Don't try getting his BMOC for cheap haha. That's scam. I have one and i had great offer for it, and people still offer me a LOT for it, way more than a 6-8$ games. I haven't traded it yet but it's surely worth mor than 6-8$. Don't try to scam him by telling him his items worth less :/

For someone hwo

*doesn't care about the value of their stuff
and
*doesn't want to spend more then a few minutes looking for a trade
then
It would be a good idea to trade the hat for the game

Also, how dare you accuse me of trying to scam? Not once did I say "I'll give you the game for the hat"
Here is a tip. I don't spend money on TF2 crap. I MAKE money off of TF2 crap.

BMOCs go for 5-6 keys.
Keys are worth about $1.40
Ergo, BMOCs are worth between $7-8.40

You're either uninformed, didn't read, or just plain rude.

I don't know what a BMOC is, but what an awesome post. :)

It's $5 for a game that has been well received by the community and was recently updated. At the very least it will be one of your more challenging RTS titles, which to me makes it sound like there is a fair deal of gameplay on offer here. Especially with all the DLC.

EDIT: 478 people playing the game, might buy it then. I still wonder how many will play it after the daily, or just in a week.
Nevermind.

EDIT: The game isn't even Steam top 100 today. Meaning nobody likes it. And it's not even top 3 sales. I'll pass on that joke. Next !

Number two on the top seller list right now. Not that it makes much difference, games that are selling for under $5.00 I'd expect to be on the top seller list on their sale day.

Switched Story and wrote...

I don't imagine there will be very many playing in a week or two.

My only real wish is that there would have been a strong mapping community to put out some great maps, but I never saw it materialize. There are some folks that are interested in modding the game, but not *all that many* that did very many maps, and out of the maps they did create, some were ultra basic.

there is the fan campaign, but i wish some people would just mod existing maps so i can play them with the monster kingdom, cause their units are so much fun.
