Apocolypse issue with assigning men to ship

Hi big fan of xcom/appocolypse owned this many years ago.Just installed via steam on a win 7 64 bit platform.Unless im just missing something,I cant seem to assign men to go out with attack ship and land/start mission at the sites with shot down aliens outside the city.
I can however send each person out one at a time to say, attack the cult or alien siteings ,just not in a vehical.

You need to drag and drop agents into your vehicle to assign them.

I think Steam includes a PDF copy of the manual in the installation. Have a poke around and see if its there. It's worth a read as there's actually a lot of stuff detailed in it that isn't necessarily obvious in the game itself (like the above, and some obscure stuff like the 'jump' key that lets agents jump off ledges).

Excellent ty very much I knew I was missing somthing as it was taking forever for the men to walk to each building attack.
