Anyone else having problems with Rayman Origins just crashing to the desktop? Seems to happen when transitioning into and out of movies. I thought it had resolved itself for awhile, but whenever it tries to load Over the Rainbow, it just goes straight to the desktop, every time.

If your on about Rayman 2 am having the same problem Rayman2.EXE has stopped working it gets as far as the bit at the start when you come down the slide but when you get knocked of and it goes to load the next bit it just crashes

Sorry, Rayman Origins. I got around it by temporarily switching my resolution from 1920x1080 to 1280x720. Thought that was it, but then it just crashed mid-game. I'd rather not play at 720, the difference is really noticeable.

have you tried updating your gfx, sound drivers and directx files?

Same problem here, just started doing this all of a sudden after playing the game for a long while with zero problems. I got to the second Gourmand Land world (after freeing two other worlds' kings) and the game started crashing from the mosquito level onwards. It would just randomly crash ingame with no error message and kick me back to desktop, typically when switching stages. The stomach level crashes the most, up to the point where I've been unable to complete it without the game crashing to desktop once.

System specs:

AMD A8 3500M Quad Core 1.5 Ghz
8 GB RAM
AMD Radeon HD 6740G2, Catalyst 12.1 drivers (not the very recent but new enough, again, zero problems before)
Windows 7 64 bit

No antivirus or whatever running in the background.

Still crashing. Tried changing settings (1280x720 res as suggested, even windowed mode) and verifying game cache, but it kicks me back to desktop with no error message 10-15 mins into the game.

Really sucks since I still had like half the game to play.

Okay, managed to fix it now. Made a manual backup of Savegame_0 (Savegame_1, as suggested on some other thread for corrupted saves) and loaded it instead, and haven't had a crash since. :)
