- I've just purchased and downloaded this game through steam.

- I'm running the most up to date AMD drivers

- I've run it in fullscreen and windowed mode

- I've verified the integrity of the game cache

- The game is 100% unplayable.

EDIT for fix.

The culprit was my Anti Aliasing settings in the Catalyst Control centre.

> Open the Catalyst Control Centre

> Go to the Gaming tab

> Go to Application Profiles

> Hit the "Save" button

> Browse to \steam\steamapps\common\ridge racer unbound\RRU.exe

> Put a tick in

SMOOTHVISION HD: Anti Aliasing
[ √ ] Use Application Settings

> hit "Apply"

Close and re-open Ridge Racer

Have you disabled AA and AF in ccc?

It's your driver settings, I tried forcing on AA and it did exactly the same thing. Just set everything to 'use application settings' and it should be fine.

No he didn't disable AA in CCC because that's exactly what I got when I forced AA. I have a 6970 running the game Super Sampled w/ High Quality Textures in CCC but Application Settings for AA and AF and maitaining 60 FPS. Game looks fine and plays great.

Yup, AA in catalyst Control Centre was the culprit. I was certain I had disabled it only for TESV.exe (Skyrim to get rid of the random square box bug, )but it looks like it had instead disabled it for all games.

If anyone else gets this problem :

> Open the Catalyst Control Centre

> Go to the Gaming tab

> Go to Application Profiles

> Hit the "Save" button (yes, it doesn't make sense)

> Browse to \steam\steamapps\common\ridge racer unbound\RRU.exe

> Put a tick in

SMOOTHVISION HD: Anti Aliasing
[ √ ] Use Application Settings

Close and re-open Ridge Racer

Thank you to everyone who pointed out the solution to this, I'll update the original post.

Not supporting forced AA isn't a bug.
