Okay, template is written, feel free to change or add something as you want, just keep in mind, that it's community letter. Add, suggest, fix grammar, and keep thread alive. Gonna spam their emails soon :)
Hello Worner Brothers, Netherrealm Studios, Other Ocean Interactive.
This is open letter from your PC community adressed directly to you, and developers, who made such a great effort, to port a game to PC.
However, we're typing these lines for you, because your port could be even better, with more profit, if it would be supported. Many bugs didnt fixed, matchmaking didnt polished, and lags are terrible. We payed our money, to show you, that there's actually big fighting community on PC, who would like to buy good and finished product, and we're asking, to have at least some official word.
Here's official steam forums http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=1332, many topics has been made, many solution has been found, latest patch did nothing, but killed the multiplayer for someone. Many people raged, by no support. They've payed they money, they wanted to get fun, but they only got issues, which is you, WB, dont want to solve. That's not right.
We have a big community list, what should be made, what should be fixed, and requests. We're 100% sure, that if you support your own product, you will get much more profit. And respect. They're also some people who wanted to see MK9 on a PC, and, trust us, we can see it could happen. Many players are ready, to play it, petitions, tweets to ed boon, and many-many discussion on a web forums. I've just asked some guys, are they happy with this release, and they dont. The list is big : No resoluion change option, bad matchmaking system, not smooth online expirience, no sound sometimes. They're cant accept it, that they've bought something, that was dead from first day of a release.
I remeber that first day of release, MK, good old game, my controller, and I've played it. It was nice, and I've had big nostalgy for me. But after 2 days of release, there was hackers at the top of leaderboards with unreal highscore. And you did nothing. It's a pity, that a big company like you, dont even care about their customers. You reputation lowered in our eyes. Please, stop them. Clear their scores, impelement anti-cheat system, or some kind of background process killer. Because right now its impossible to enjoy the game. Hackers are everywhere. They're running some kind of background process, that slows down the game, make it unplayable to play.
Number two is quiters, they're just ruining the expirience, when they're losing, they just can close game from taskmanager and bang, game freezed, but his score is same as before. Make something, so game can "detect", that kind of thing.
Number three, talk to community. The more you talk with us, they more love you get. I have many people, which are would like to play MK, but they just think that it's stupid to pay price for dead product.
Number four, advert your PC game a little bit more, of course community is spreading the world, but we're all know that when you drop off the price at steam, game is definetly gonna be bought by many people, thats a good thing to attract many attention of players, you will get your nice profit!
Number five, community requests, it would be nice to see mk 2vs2 combat online, would help to keep us active.
We're trying everything, to help community, be active on forums, talk to newcomers, just to show you, devs, we're interested in PC fighting scene, and would like to accept any product, if it's supporting, they're many guys, who's tired of all that FPS games, we dont really need to buy a console for fighting, because as you know many old MK's was ported in 90s to PC, without problems, and many played it. Obviously, you gain profit from PC players.
Please, hear our voice, fix problems, fix delays, fix resolution, fix something at least, speak with us. Tell us something, we're would like to hear any word.
