Any way to replace the music?

I was wondering if there's a way to replace the music in the game, with a mod or something like that. I'm trying to do the Untouchable achievement and the music in this game can be unbearable at times. It loops way too fast, too.

I'm gonna take a look at the game files, but at a first glance they're all packed and stuff, did anyone give it a try? Maybe the chaps at Sonic Retro did... using the Death Egg zone theme from Sonic & Knuckles would sound great in the last zone.

My guess is that the Music files are in the folder "SOUND". Probably inside the "SONICDL_SNG01.CPK" file. If that's the case, then the music is in ".aax" extension. And well, I give up, I really have no idea how this could be done.

A lot of people already figured out how to switch the textures and models, but I haven't found a solution to replace the music yet.

You're probably already aware of this but just in case you aren't: You can change the stage music on any level to one of the tracks you've unlocked. I've changed City Escape to Right There Ride On and the Perfect Chaos boss theme to Flying Battery because I didn't like either.
