It seems that the server browser in CS 1.6 is only being populated by non-steam/hacked/romanian servers. Is there any way for you to fix this problem? I'm tired of paying with cheaters and I'm sick of having to use third party server browsers.
PS: what is a "porno server"?
Thanks Valve

Your server browser is broken.
Whatever you've been downloading, stop.

I don't think so.
I just tried the browser again, but this time on another computer with a fresh install of windows and steam. I'm having the same problem. Every single server redirects to another "non-steam" server. As far as I can tell this is not an issue on my end.
EDIT: and it's not hedy it's Hedley!

make sure in your steam settings -> downloads + cloud your download region isnt some random place.

I'll give you some servers I play on, one is Romanian but is constantly filled and much better than I expected it would be, then I have a UK server...
I usually play on the Romanian server actually.
Anyways, just ask around and ask friends for servers, it's the best way to find a good server anyways.

It's just that there was another guy here recently who said he was downloading "skins" (re: aimbot) for CS 1.6 and ended up installing some sort of server redirecting program, also to Romania.
I have no idea why you're getting redirected to Romanian servers.

the last update to CS 1.6 attempted to deal with this problem but as far as I can tell it's as bad as ever.
If it can't be fixed I think an official sticky or comment on how to work around the problem would be extremely well received
