Steam overlay not working? Read here.

If Flash hardware acceleration is disabled, the Steam in-game overlay will not work.

To enable hardware acceleration, please do the following:


Make sure Realm of the Mad God is closed.
Open a web page with a Flash video or game (such as a YouTube video)
Right-click on the Flash video and select "Settings..." (not "Global Settings...").
Make sure "Enable hardware acceleration" is checked. Click the "Close" button.


Once these steps are complete, you should then be able to use the Steam in-game overlay.

I've done everything that the forums have told me to do, and still I'm unable to bring up the steam overlay. Any ideas?

this issue is still not resolved, i already had hardware acceleration on and no overlay on this game

How has this still not been fixed yet?! I don't want to buy my gold through the webpage, they don't even use SSL!
