I defeated all spiders, opened the gold key door, found bow, poison +50 bracelet, graves... etc. but I cannot find a way to open damn iron door. They are located after the pillar of light teleporter puzzles. Over the pitfall to the left. There are iron bars and a pitfall next to it, preventing me from going to the lever (that opens the iron door:confused:).
Can someone help?
thx

When you first entered lvl 3 there was a pillar of light puzzle to open the door. Further into lvl 3 there should be an identical room ( except for spiders and their eggs). In that room you need to solve a torch puzzle, it's fairly easy to do and I think thats all the help you need

On the right side of the map, in the 2nd room with the torch holders, put torches on ONLY the outer wall, and not the pillar. You should hear a door open.

I didn't realize it because I had the sound turned off. Sound is REALLY important in this game to find secrets. :|

Thanks for the tip guys, that door was driving my insane!

Actually, I suspected that reversing the torches in that room was the answer, but by the time I thought of it, I had already moved on to level 4 (which is even crazier than the iron door on level 3), and was too tired to go back after playing 8 hours straight. :)

What a game this is eh? Excellent stuff. I knew by the reviews it was gonna be good, but it is better than I anticipated.

I have no idea how the devs expected anyone to figure that out on their own without internet assistance. I went crazy trying to open that door and eventually just googled it for the solution.

Well some of us clearly managed to open it so it's not impossible and didn't really take an insane amount of time either. Luckily it seems that most ways to get to secret areas is by manipulating nearby switches, torches and plates. I mean it could be way worse if you would have to pull a certain switch on the other side of the whole level ( or even worse on a different level) just to get to a door

There is no ♥♥♥♥ing way anybody without autism could have figured that out. You people contributing nothing, Trucane, should think before you speak.

So what the hell was the point of the two pressure plates behind the metal bars? Where the button switched on/off the teleporter?

Made a level 3 iron door (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAXg_lxdclE) puzzle solving vid.

**SPOILER**

You put an item on the backside room's lone pressure plate and go back and press the button on the wall so the teleports goes away. Then you'll put two more items on the pressure plates behind the bars and you'll get the door open. There's two secrets in that room :)

I haven't played a game of this type in maybe 20 years and it amazes me how much trouble people are having with it!

No disrespect intended at all but it seems this game has really shown how much we as gamers have gotten used to having our hands held through games in recent years. I haven't stumbled across anything in this game so far that a little patience and observation didn't solve, even when I initially thought 'what the hell?' :)

In a way the mentally challenged are the ones that can't figure anything out or are too lazy/big hurry to even trying what is available to you. Kudos to those that figure it all out on their own. The autism remark was uncalled for even as a minor humor attempt.

I'm up to around level 7 and that level 3 ending was the only part I've had to look up the solution, so far. There was nothing to indicate that you should go into a completely different room and slot just two torches into the outer walls, not, say, the inner wall.

Not even the level's name 'Pillar of Light'.

It's interesting that in your first sentence you imply I'm mentally challenged, and then in your last sentence you say it's uncalled for to mention a mental challenge.

In your next post are you going to try to claim that with that kind of deficient brain you've solved the game without looking up any solutions?

Didn't think so.

Didn't think so.

The first room looked identical and was solved with a torch puzzle so the very first thing I did when I entered the room (even though I could see an exit) was try the torches in the middle again. When I saw that did nothing I thought to myself that if something was going to happen, they wouldn't use the same solution twice and tried the outer walls. Bingo!

It really isn't impossible to find these things at all. Some people must just approach the game with a different way of thinking to you.

I like how polity you bring your condescending remark.

It wasn't meant to be condescending at all which is why I said 'we as gamers'. I admit that games have gotten me used to constantly having my hand held too, but this game truly is about observation rather than following a blip on a map and HUD indicators on everything you can interact with. It is surprisingly easy to solve things when you simply look around :)

Wurzel_Pummage nailed it, you've got to put yourself in the mindset of 20+ years ago where games were extremely challenging i.e. you can't be lazy, if blindly pass even the smallest thing out of the ordinary you will suffer greatly :o

I don't get people telling it's impossible to find without a walkthrough.

I just checked on the map. In front of the iron door, you can see that the corridor is long enough to connect with the pillar room, so it's clear that there's a way to open a door in this last room. Since you have already done a similar puzzle, the solution is not that hard to find.

That's how I found it.

this is driving me insane.... but how do you get to the bow and stuff behind gate and two open traps? I have everything else on lvl 3: opened iron door, got gold key near the bow place above (killed spider and he had it or am i wrong??). Ive searched and searched but no switches around the area. When i drop into the traps there is one teleporter to get you back up and a switch to turn it off (it must have something to do with this, because i cant tell why there is a switch to turn off teleporter.)

PLEASE HELP THANKS
