Spells and me

I am just starting out, and the tutorial don't tell me, and key config don't really give me a clue either.

But how do you cast spells? Right now, I click on the hand, get the icons up, choose one then when I click on the bar to the right it casts. I have to do this every time, is that really the way it's done?

Also, does a ranged rogue need strength or purely dex?

For casting simple attack spells, create a Mage with at least LV2 in fire magic and cast the upper left rune.

Yeah i've done that, but I have to reset the spell every time, I can't just set it and then right click it like I do with weapons. I've found a staff and that didn't solve the problem.

I kinda feel I'm supposed to be able to cast more easy.

No, this is how you cast spells.

You can set a spell before a fight and "X" out the tab and it'll still be set the next time you attempt to cast a spell also stays set when you don't have enough mana to use the spell. That's as simplified as it gets.
