Observation: I noticed that if you turn off the tactical assist you no longer get a distance when using binos. I enjoy not having the red 'easy' reticule when holding my breath but I like to get a distance on targets.
Question: Since binos don't give distance...does anyone know how many meters each tick mark on the scope represents?
Thanks

I was a bit uneasy at first as well, but after about 3 hours of replaying the demo, you get used to it; and actually it's pretty fun.
The 3 tick marks that mark out each bullet drop level are called mil-dots. The first mil-dot is good for around 80 meters, second is good for around 200 meters. I've never needed to use the third mil-dot for anything other than compensation for obstruction.
Here's an infographic to the generality of it. It's 2500x2500 so you can zoom in on each picture. They're 1920x1080 in quality. I used the same spot to gauge each distance, it's the first part of the demo so hopefully it's easy to visualize or gauge yourself.

For serious folks, this helped me a LOT in understanding ballistics and sniping in general. From wind to distance to bullet drop.

This was helpful with all types of FPS.
And to learn online.
