Knife in full game

Quick Question hopefully I am not asking a already answered question. Do you have access to a knife/garrote in the full game. Seems unrealistic to be a sniper having to sneak around without some way of quietly killing enemies.

Move close to an enemy silently and you can perform a 'stealth kill'. By doing do, your character will grab the enemy and snap his neck.
Another way of stealth killing is using the Welrod pistol. I don't think there will be a knife in the actual game.

There is no knife, but you have the ability to sneak up behind someone and snap their neck or use the suppressed Welrod pistol.

I started looking around in controls and inventory for knife, I just assumed it would be included. But the stealth kill action/move also works.
