Unable to log into metaserver, game crashes. Already registers and played recently.

A friend and I are unable to log into the metaserver. We were wondering if its down for maintenance or if anyone else was having this issue? Is there a place I can bookmark that'll show the status of server? To be a bit more specific, when we try to log in, the game just sits there with the spinning watch for a few minutes and nothing happens, forcing an alt tab to close the game where upon it crashes hard. Ty!

I would suggest not trying to use the metaserver. Paradox's multiplayer service in Victoria 2, HOI3, and EU3 is abysmal.

Id recommend you and your friend get Hamachi and connect via the IP search. Its really the only reliable way to get a good multiplayer match going.

hello, i think i can help you. Make sure you log into the forums and add your game in the my games tab. Then click on the golden lock next to your game to update the login details to the metaserver server. Also don't use numbers in your password, not sure if this is important but try this if the steps above doesn't work. GL, also there doesn't seem to be much people that use the metaserver, i have not seen anyone.
