Custom Banner Won't Stick

I imported a banner, has all the requirements to include alpha and such. Looks cool, is medieval, and when I hit ok it shows up next to my Leader's portrait like any other banner. But when I join any kind of fight, it reverts back to the one I had before. Any suggestions?

I've had this problem too, and it's completely unexplainable, I had to go with a completely different picture since editing the one I wanted simply didn't work.

So PNG images dont stick for me, but JPGs do. JPGs cannot hold transparencies, so my banner will look like a block unless I get that figured out.
