Key mappings incorrect

I'm having a real issue where the key mappings from the config utility are not being used properly in game.

As an example, menu navigation uses the left/right strafe keys for horizontal movement correctly, but vertical movement uses two of the weapon key assignments (2 and 4). The confirm button of Space is actually the E key, which is supposed to delete save games.

Any suggestions aside from the "get a controller" drivel?

pay attention when u rebind the keys. After rebinding mine i noticed that there are some duplicates created for whatever reason. Rebinding the duplicates - and all was golden. Also , in weapons slot 1 = handgun slot 2 = nades 3 = ur bound weapon(rifle) slot 4 = whatever weapon u picked as secondary ( LMG, shotty RPG etc )

I had the same problem too, in-game the mouse camera also didn't work properly, it moved randomly.
The fix listed in the following topic fixed both the camera moving randomly and the wrong buttons in the menus issues:
