Chat and clan?

Ok, maybe im blind or something. But lvl 10 now and i haven't found any form of chat, other than 1-1 channel.

Which leads me to clans. How do u join clans?
There are the bunch of them overview map u can apply for, but i was invited into a clan that wasn't on there.
Which also leads to the question, how did he find me? Did he just roam through online players and invite everyone?

The chat window is hard to find, at first. Along the bottom of the screen (outside of battle), there is a bar on the right, with an arrow button pointing up. Click that button and the chat window will open.

it opens, but theres nothing usefull there lol. Just 1-1 chat...

When you join a clan you can join a clan chat by clicking on Clan in the chat list menus, it also brings up a list of all clan members to chat to, which is highly redundant since any clan member online is also displayed under the commons chat list along with any other non clan member that has messaged you since your login.
