Hello! Wondering if someone could fill me in on the 7 victory conditions? How do I achieve them? This game is amazing!
Thanks :)

Well, you can choose which victory you want to pursue in your game, such as supremacy, building, economy, diplomacy, science, expansion and your score.
Hope that answers your question! :)

I can tell you about the two I've gotten so far. One of them was for owning a majority of the galaxy's systems. I forget what percentage, but maybe 80% or so. The other was for earning a total of 300,000 dust over the course of the game, which I believe is the economic victory.

It also seems you can turn all victory conditions off, and just sandbox slaughter everyone else.
Yay for my team !

There's a manual floating around here (link) (http://cdn.steampowered.com/Manuals/208140/Endless%20Space%20User%20Manual%20Alpha.pdf?t=1336 004252). Just some excerpt from the very end of it:
Winning the game
To win the game you need to fulfill one of the following conditions:
Expansion Victory: conquer 75% or more of the colonized universe.
Scientific Victory: the first player to research the Pan-Galactic Society, the last technology of the Science tree, wins the game. That particular technological wonder is very hard to get, and reaching the ends of the other technology trees will make it easier to finish.
Economic Victory: The first player to reach a certain level of cumulative revenue (Dust) wins. Only overall revenue matters, so it does not matter if you spent it all.
Diplomatic Victory: If you manage to survive long enough while being at war the least amount of time, you may be able to impose yourself and win thanks to your wisdom and integrity.
Supremacy Victory: The first player to own all the original players’ homeworlds will win.
Score Victory: if no one managed to win with one of the previous victory conditions, the player with the highest score wins when the turn limit is reached.
Personally I prefer switching all victories off and play until extermination.
Thanks,

Hey all. I'm just gonna add here that whatever "victory condition" I choose, it always ends with me loosing due to an enemy Expansion Victory.
I haven't tried unchecking the Supremacy box aswell, so I will try with all boxes unchecked.
Awesome game by the way. Except for a random freeze (have to restart the game through ctrl+alt+del) this is actually a working game in alpha *gives his copy of Sword of the stars a critical eye*

I think i might like an option to continue playing, even after achieving a victory condition.
I must have forgotten to turn off the expansion victory checkbox this morning because i was just getting into my game when it awarded me the victory and ended the game.
Bit gutted about that; i was really enjoying myself. :(

Yeah, I was enjoying the game I was playing up until I was hit in the face with an "economic victory" for hitting a mere 30,000 dust and then forced back to the menu.
That is a bizarrely low number for an economic victory, especially when you play on a "huge" galaxy size like I like to do, and particularly when later system improvements take over half that just to purchase them out of the queue.
My game is effectively over now as I am at the point where I am obtaining 9k+ dust per turn, so I would need to somehow find a way to funnel off 20k+ dust every two turns to avoid the game ending, and there's no way for me to change this option after the game has started.
I understand this is an Alpha, but this is a ponderous game oversight that you can't continue playing after victory.

Hi, if you're feeling up to it you can unpack game save using 7zip, and edit XML file inside. Save Files are under "C:\Users\<Win User>\Documents\Endless Space\Users\<Steam User>\Save"
Victory conditon settings are under pRoot->GameInfo->GamSettings tag. Edit, save it, and pack again using 7zip (choose bzip2 algorithm for packing) and use file extension *.bin (same as save games). Copy back over your edited save file.
Good Luck

Dont bother unzipping or rezipping...
With 7z, you can right-click to open the .bin archive and right-click again on the file and select 'edit'.
It opens up and then just save it, close it and then say yes at the prompt that asks you if you wish to update the file.
no muss, no fuss...

I ran into the same 300k dust to win scenario. I was soundly beating the snot out of these guys and ... apparently, I hadn't slowed their production of Dust enough and, with their nearly dying breath, they hit 300k dust.
I hoped that it would knock them back somehow since they were on the ropes, but nope. :/ (I have played two games over the course of 24 hours... it was a little infuriating have that message pop both times.
So, yeah, I'm disabling that victory, but... where is the proper balance. I can guarantee that 300k is the first achievable thing considering how difficult all of the others are.
Love the game, by the way... :D
