Hi ladies and gentlemen, I recently purchased Crusader Kings II on Steam and for the most part I am impressed with the complexity and realistic aspects of the game. There is only one issue that is irking me, however.
The first campaign I played was as the Duke of Bohemia. I had managed to create the Duchy of Moravia and Austria, so my influence was spread through three Duchies. Upon the death of my Duke, another took over which was less liked. One of my vassals revolted and another supported him, throwing my realm into a civil war. After years of hard fighting, the year is 1110, and I'm about to capture the last city of the opposition. Whenever I successfully win the siege of this county, the game freezes for a brief second and crashes to the desktop. I became so impatient with it that I just deleted the save game.
I started over playing as the Duchy of Bavaria, and the same thing happens, one count revolts, I go to siege the castle, and when I win, it crashes. (The year was 1096 in this occasion)
This has not happened on any other campaigns that I have tried. I purchased the game a day or two after the 1.05 patch, so my game is all updated. I also tried to verify the integrity of the game cache using steam, and nothing was wrong with that either. Any suggestions, comments, etc.? Thank you for the support in advance.

EDIT: Yet another crash when playing. I now have the Kingdom of Lotharangia and my queen is underage and has a Regent in her stead. I attempted to arrange a betrothal between her and the Prince of Denmark. After the offer was sent, I got a crash to the desktop. It seems that this game has a lot of hidden bugs and is unstable. I have yet to play a game 50 years through without a bug or crashing.
