Getting G2G points

I preordered the emperor edition on steam, registered on the website (and got the free 100 g2g points). Now where do I get the code or key or whatever to put into my account so it knows i preordered the emperor edition?

EDIT: I found how to do it, however I cant find my key anywhere, it gave me a key when I first started the game a few days ago, but now when i right click on the game in my library "view cd key" is not there... help!

This is tied to the error we had with "Failed to contact Key Server". You can still register and play; when you receive the CD key you will be able to go and redeem your G2G points.

I already got the key though. It showed when I first installed and played the game on friday. They shouldn't be needing to contact a key server if I have already been issued one, at least you would think that. The key should be stored locally once issued, but then again I don't know if this is the case...I can play the game, thats not the problem, just wanted to register on the site, and have it know i have the emperor edition.

If you redeem you key, you'll loose your 100 points from registration, so use them first.

I tried right clicking on the game and it does not have the option to select CD keys. I purchased the Emperor version, so I do have the option to view DLC and it shows the Emperor version there, but does not have a key anywhere.

We're currently having a key gen problem with Valve; we'll post when it is fixed. In any case, the game is playable and it is only a concern for the G2G points.

Just wanted to add that there's no "CD Key" link in the Mac version of Steam for this

I'm also having issues getting my CD Key and also play on a Mac. The Steam interface only shows me a CD Key link when shift-tabbing while in the game, not when right-clicking on the game in library.

Unfortunately, the window is stuck at "Requesting key..." every time I open it. I've even left it open for 15-20 minutes to see if that helped, but still no key, just "requesting" one.

This is really disappointing. I would have thought that you would have the technology to at least email the key with the original receipt, but was disappointed to discover that my email receipt has no cd key info on it either.
