If you think Black Ops 2 is similar to any other Call of Duty game then you didn't play the games.

Won't be getting me any more. xpack for $60 all the hype one they get your ^0 they throw the game and you aside. Look at MW3 can you say map packs? Infested with hackers? No pc support? No elite version? Why support them? BO2 is going to fail hard you think MW3 fail bad wait and see.

Despite the lame AI, and being The-Song-That-Never-Ends until everyone dies, I have always been SUPER addicted to zombies. That's why I'll be getting BLOPS 2. Most likely for console tho.

I was excited when I heard MW3 would have a game mode similar to zombies but I was bummed out to find the only thing really in common is a wave-based setup.

My two cents is that Treyarch and Infinite Ward have a good thing going with the feel of the game. They were smart about it. They realized that the largest age demographic is 5-25 approx, and that FPS is a low-risk genre. They realized that kids just wanna play with really cool guns and shoot people, so they wisely put a very large amount of development work into tweaking things like weapon sway, recoil, etc. etc. etc. to intensify young people's curiosity and wonderment at military firearms. Adding in a remote control car is sure to seal the deal for the young-uns

COD has been here since the start of console online gaming, and the series earned a strong following simply just from being a pioneer in that respect.

A lot of it is the same game. The MW3 engine felt the same as the MW2, but the BLOPS was noticably different from W@W.

I'm excited for zombies. I will play campaign similar to the way I would eat old moldy leftovers at the back of the fridge; I just wouldn't feel right about it if I let them go to waste.

The lead guy at Treyarch said theyre really trying to integrate non-linear gameplay in this one. Finally a step in the right direction?

Anyway, as I've said in the 30000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 0 other threads about the same damn subject, you can't judge a book by its cover. Play the game before you hate on it.

You can hate on it because you know what you are gonna get. No matter what the trailer shows the game will be more or less the same as the previous games with a few changes, like the other games.

They are NOT bad games but they are not good either. It is just a shame that so much money gets put in to it instead of creating something more original.

People just find it frustrating seeing people pay good money for nearly the same product every year. That being said you eat at the same restraunt if you like it yes ?

Personally I hate the series and what it has done to gaming in my opinion but each to their own.

Seriously, when are they going to stop churning out carbon-copy sequels and actually make something original for a change?
Once the games start having number 3 in their names, you know they've all gone to hell, because there's nothing in them that hasn't been seen or done before.
MW1, MW2, MW3, BO1, BO2...what's next, WAW2 & WAW3 followed by BO3?
I love FPS games, and COD was always highly on my favorites list but this is not interesting anymore. I'd rather play indie games instead, at least they always bring something new and fun.

Because i dont have problem giving away 60 euros for cod.
Btw its not the same game mate, example mw>mw2>mw3. Maybe they use the same engine but the sp story is not the same.
+ in everygame they put something new . example: in mw3 there are new perks, new maps normaly, new weapons, new killstreaks and other stuff.
How is blackops same with bo2? tell me this. bo2 is in 2025 dammit.

Lol you answered it yourself. Nobody buys COD for the SP, not worth the money for the time you get out of it.

You also said something new, and then listed perks, maps, weapons and LOL killstreaks. That sums up why this is crap. You get charged that price for that sort of crap thats not unique or any different.

Your post and your style of gamer is why the game is where it is because you hand over your money for crap.

Played MW1, WaW, MW2 and then I was bored to tears with Black Ops. Well, Iw was bored to tears with MW2 on PS3 when I figured out you can tap a button and automagically lock on to a target. I didn't have net at the time, so I was playing single player mode. Guess I'll get blasted for not playing MP, but really the only MP that has interested me, kept me interested is BF...

Because it's basically the same crap with a slightly different title, blame Infinity Ward.

Plus, the media makes it seem the only game out there is Call of Duty. That's another reason so many damn people hate it.

It's a fun game, but it is MOST DEFINITELY NOT THE HOT ♥♥♥♥ EVERYONE makes it out to be. I get jarateED looking at all these crappy montages of some stupid 360 noscope kill some ♥♥♥♥er makes. I mean, really, REALLY jarateed.

And what's even worse is that Timesplitters has been turned down because it was apparently not potentially selling because it's not a ♥♥♥♥ing cod clone.

Cod is so very ♥♥♥♥ing simple that's why it gets so much attention from the masses.

I don't. Black Ops 2 looks like a step in the right direction though. It's not the same old rehashed Modern Warfare ♥♥♥♥ that was old by the time MW2 came out. It's something different and it was enough to intrigue me to get back into the series.

Question for you though. Why do you care so much about what other people do with their money?

I do not think the Call of Duty series evolves enough every year. That being said, I do not buy the newest installment every year. Normally I just buy a Call of Duty game every few years.

The ones I own include CoD2, CoD4:MW, CoD:BO, and that's it. I don't believe owning three Call of Duty games is unreasonable. After all, I still think it is a very fun series.

Well I guess we will have to wait and see if it is a change in the right direction. I wouldn't hold my breathe though.

It annoys people the amount of money and exposure the game gets when it is an average game and there are so many more deserving titles out there which an original concept.

I'm sorry, have you played the game yet?

Didn't think so.

For example, people thought they knew what they were getting with Dragon Age 2. Instead, they got a completely different game which was almost universally panned by Dragon Age fans.

Your post and your style of gamer is why the game is where it is because you hand over your money for crap.

Way to ♥♥♥♥ on his opinion. Everyone has an opinion on what a good game is, and what a bad one is. Just because it differs from yours doesn't make it wrong, and certainly doesn't make it stupid. Honestly, I don't like Minecraft all that much, and I could probably list a dozen reasons why- and it would still be a valid opinion, even though I'd have a hundred brazen Minecraft Hammer Legion Members raging as they read it. The difference between Minecraft and the new Black Ops game, however, is that NOBODY HAS PLAYED BLACK OPS 2. NOBODY HAS EVEN SEEN AN ACTUAL PREVIEW YET. So can we please keep all the ranting and raving about how the game is the "worst CoD to date" until after the game is released and people have had time to formulate VALID opinions on a new title.

Of course, that would require all the CoD haters to stop posting their insightful comments about how the series is the reason why the games industry lacks innovation these days, and how the games are basically the same every year with minor upgrades, but that would actually require some effort.

No but my opinion is more likely to be correct so thus it is more valid. COD4 >>>> MW3 the game is very much the same apart from minor enhancements and other little changes, the game is the same at the core and I would expect the same from this version.

And on Dragon Age 2 if people researched a game properly and played the demo that was released you could have quite easily figured out that it was bad.

If Black Ops II breaks the mold and is a good game and an original piece of work I will happily buy it.

I don't buy the same game every year.
I skip Infinity Wards titles.
Treyarch are really the only ones pushing Call of Duty forward, World at War was a huge step up from MW2 (and yes, I know MW2 came later, it proves my point)

They have already said they are focusing more on the competitive community (so better balance), they have already taken a risk by jumping forward 10 + years in time, branching storylines/strike zones. And yet people are still complaining its the same game?

We haven't even seen the MP yet, the way its going we could have four legged walking mechs, railguns, forcefields, adaptive camo, and why not lets just be completely off, robotic dogs.

In my opinion COD is only good on PC and sort of Black Ops if you have a powerful PC since it was optimized to crap.
So here.

* COD: Great Shooter.:)
* COD2: The best in the whole series.
* COD3: I took the CD out and though it in the toilet and took a ♥♥♥♥ on it........................
* COD4: ♥♥♥♥ing Amazing! :eek:
* CODWAW: Zombies omfg WIN!
* CODMW2: MP was ♥♥♥♥ :p
* CODBO: Great but crap port to PC.:o
* CODMW3: Same as COD4 but only because it has servers and servers = mods :)
* CODBO2: Better be something new ....
* COD???: Use a new engine like idTech5 or 6 since iwEngine is based off idTech3.

Surprisingly the SKIDROW and Razor1911 versions were perfect ports...

since CoD4 i enjoyed the series ... like them all but sort of have a love hate with mw3 right now ... gonna buy Bo2 because i liked Bo1 and it seems it will have more to offer than mw3 ... as for zombies .. not a big fan ... tends to turn into kiting zombies in a big circle, l4d series is a much better coop zombie experience in my opinion ... and comon hasnt anyone had enuf of zombies in general by now ?

People still using the "lol dis is old engine" excuse... It's like saying Valve is stupid for using Quake code to make their own Source engine. They're NOT going to buy another engine and waste money and time trying to fiddle with it if the current one's just fine, they only have two years to build a game after all.

P.S.: I think these ports ran better because Steam isn't involved in them.

Are you trying to implicate you know anything about game engines? Anyway, you don't. Source engine is only game engine on the planet that is unlimited for customization and upgradability. That's why valve can use it until something dramatically changes in graphics technology. On the other hand, COD engine is so undated and ♥♥♥♥ that it's a disgrace to even sell this ♥♥♥♥ for full price (not even gonna comment on the actual content of the game).

Oops, sorry... 'Scuse me, Mr. Game Engine.

Source engine is only game engine on the planet that is unlimited for customization and upgradability.
Almost any engine is if you put your heart into it. You're missing one point here: Sure, using a new engine "solves" the "problem" that you're itching about here, but is it really necessary? More so, is there TIME to look for a new engine? When Activision gives you two years to make a game you just don't have the time to look into such issues that don't really matter (since the series keep selling), rather focus on the GAME, correct?

Both engines are based from idtech. Source is from idtech1 (Quake) and COD's engine is from idtech3 (Quake 3). The engine doesn't matter, what matters is what the developers do with it. Get your thoughts straight. Now whether if they do either a good or bad job with it, is out of discussion.
