View Full Version : What would you like to see changed/added/removed?

Share your thoughts & ideas. Since the game is still in alpha, now is the time to speak up!

My personal list so far:

1 - Empire customization.

2 - Autoresolve option for combat.

3 - Is there a way to have more than 3 heroes at once?

4 - Fighter carriers added to ship/weapon types.

5 - More detail on planet invasion. Make it play out like space combat, with tactics cards and everything.

6 - Any way to optimize turn speed turnover? I'm running x6 cores and it's still kind of sluggish.

7 - Map rotation. Or did I just not figure it out yet?

8 - Race specific technologies, especially weapons and defenses.

9 - Make sure the architecture is easily modifiable. People will want to be adding their own ship models & textures, you can count on it.

10 - Demographic modeling, especially for conquered worlds. Do your new subjects accept your rule peacefully, or will they rebel? What happens if you disperse their population amongst the rest of your empire?

Scenarios - ala Civ, tactical situations and unique win conditions

Better alerts - not building, not researching, invasion happening, etc

PBEM Multiplayer support - Yep

More refinement in racial differences

1. This has been confirmed as something they are adding.
2. There is auto-resolve for combat.
3. Your heroes require something called academy slots, there are techs in the left hand tree that add more such slots.
7. Did you try click and dragging the middle mouse button? I don't remember if it works, I think I did it accidentally when first figuring out the controls but I might be thinking of another game.
8. There are such technologies. They are orange colored on the tech tree, but I do hope they add more.

So with that out of the way, what I think I'd like to see most is more weapon types. I think this is the biggest weakness of the game, there's essentially only 3 weapons with like 10 levels up upgrades. The game could definitely use some real beam weapons, high velocity mega cannons, multi-projectile firing shotgun style cannons, drones, giant torpedoes, lightning guns, etc. etc. It would also be nice if some of them were race specific, or at least had a race with a better proficiency with them.

1 - A more definitive way of securing your property aside from picket fleets.

2 - More battle types. Individual planetary invasions maybe with its own cinematic battle type.

3 - Somewhat more control over combat. Maybe a movement style order attached to a combat order so you can attempt to maintain range if youre fleet is missile/laser heavy or attempt to close distance faster if you want to get inside the range of the enemy missiles.

Borders, without a doubt.

Notifications when one of your planets is under siege, when a fleet arrives at its destination, and when there is no research being done.

Fleet icons that grow in size the more ships that are in them, to easily spot your main assault fleets.
