Basically, I'm trying to find out if I can run this game.

I mean, my laptop is pretty good (I can run starcraft 2, borderlands, left 4 dead, etc), and I can run tribes on all low settings without my fan going all crazy on me...But since this game uses the latest crytek engine...I'm not sure it'll run on my laptop, and I want to be sure that it CAN run before I buy the game.

Thanks! I forgot about DXdiag....

hmmm...Nexuiz is asking for a "Intel Core 2 Duo at 2Ghz, or AMD Athlon 64 x2 2ghz, or better" processor...And I have an "Intel core i5 CPU"...

.........I somehow get the feeling that it's not strong enough. Guess I'll just punt nexuiz down to the bottom of my wishlist and only get it when it's really cheap, or whenever I get a new desktop.

I think that your processor is good. But i need to know your GPU Graphics board model to make a better diagnostic.

Your processor is fine. Core i5 came out after Core 2 and even the worst i5 is at least 50% better than the system requirements. The thing that will likely hold you back is your Video card. A GeForce 330M isn't very powerful. At least as far as benchmarks are concerned, your video card does about half of what they're calling for in the system requirements.

Thanks for the help, guys.

I guess I'll have to put Nexuiz down on the bottom of my wishlist until I get a better computer. :(

According to http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-GT-330M.22437.0.html it says that video card can play crysis and risen on medium settings, with the cryengine 3 being optimized better than the original engine, I think you should be able to run it ok at low to med while being enjoyable and playable.

Why isn't a 3930k @ 4.3GHz, 8GB of RAM, and a GTX680 overclocked enough to run this maxed out at 60FPS?
