I really loved the blackwell series after blowing through all 4 this weekend.

Gotta say though, with all due respect to Roseangela, I had a lot of fun watching Lauren and Joey's side of the story and think it would be neat if they decided to make a few more games with that pair. Something about the character really did it for me; the smooth, cynical, chain smoking, skirt wearing medium who could flirt it up with Cecil or lose her temper at him and then push an old woman off the side of a balcony without a second thought.

I also really liked the banter between her and Joey when Lauren would get pissed off and step out for a cigarette, prompting the ghost to fly over and provide some comforting words or a kick in the butt. :D From that perspective it felt like some interesting character development was going on as they would then brainstorm the events that just occurred with each murder.

Course Rose is great too, but I would definitely buy another episode involving Lauren if the opportunity presented itself. :)

Blackwell Unbound was a last-minute side project that I made because Blackwell Convergence was taking way too long. It was made in a few months, for a budget of like 600 bucks. And yet... it's become a fan favorite! There's still room for Lauren to come back, but unfortunately the actress who played her has moved to LA to do "real actress" type stuff, so I wouldn't be able to bring her back. Which is a shame, since she was so great.

I really liked Lauren too, and I'm actually way more facinated with her than Roseangela. I'd mainly really like to know what happened to her in her later life. Since we know from "Legacy" that she essentially ends up dying in a mental institute this cast a really, really, dark pall over "Unbound" for me. Especially since "Unbound" basically concerns a medium who ends up going crazy as its main villain. The game never really addresses it directly (which is maybe smart), but it still added a whole interesting subtext to the game that wouldn't otherwise be there for people who never played "Legacy."

She doesn't exactly seem to be living the most physcially and mentally healthy life in "Unbound" (i.e. constant smoking, no friends, only companions are spirits) so I guess I could maybe see how she would snap, but I'd still think it would make an interesting (if maybe too dark) game to see her in her later years.

I guess I can't remember, though. Does "Legacy" go into the specifics of how Lauren ended up in the hospital? I just played "Unbound" but I played "Legacy" months ago so I really can't remember.
