1) Is Stronghold 3 finally playable? Any Lags and/or other problems? (There have been 9 patches so far and the next one is coming soon)

2) Is it possible to play with a friend against the computer?

I hope someone can answer hose questions...

1. Depends on what you call playable. The game still suffers from lag be it online play or singleplayer especially when there are lots of units/bldgs onscreen.
2.No
Wait on fridays patch to see the content of said patch and then check back.
The gold version of the game will out soon which i assume will be the base gm with all ten patches.

Hi all,

Just thought I'd offer some clarity on SH3:Gold...

The Gold Edition will include Stronghold 3 and added content/fixes from 11 post-release patches. It will also feature a new single player campaign and unlock all historical sieges. It will be a free upgrade (through Steam) for existing owners of Stronghold 3 (those who buy the game before May 25). It is the last planned update for Stronghold 3.

Thanks for the information. Well... i think i will buy the gold edition when it is cheaper... I read, that the performance is not that good. Is this true?

and the Q6600 2,4Ghz
4gb RAM
Win7 64bit

I have two laptops with 4gb of RAM each and the game runs ok on them, but nothing like it runs on my desktop with 12gb of RAM. ;)
