Wolf 3d and Spear of Destiny question

Do Wolfenstein 3D and Spear of Destiny work on windows 7 32bit just as you get them from Steam or do you need dosbox or other port to play them?

On the Wolf 3D store page in the requirements area. Same for spear of destiny only windows 2000 is mentioned too.

It doesn't mention DOS afaik.

Thanks, I see all the threads that mention dosbox and other source ports but could not find one that said it played by itself. These are two games that I own from back in the 90's when they came out. They are on floppy discs and I have been able to play Wolfenstein 3D again with a source port but there seems to be something wrong with the Spear of Destiny floppies. Now I can play it for practically nothing.

With the early Doom games, they are the DOS versions, but they have DOSbox included in the download and configured for the games. I would assume the Wolfenstein games are the same way.

They require DosBox, but they come preconfigured, no need to mount drivers or anything, just run it.

No. But, looking over the options for DOSbox, it seems you can remap keys. If you map, say, A to Alt + Left Arrow, you could strafe left that way.

Although, it seems the game isn't recognizing the mapper file for some reason.

i bought the wolfpack with them in it tonite, they play fine on win7 64, should be fine on win32.
