Are you afriad to die? The ultimate end of all endings.
I was when I was young, but when I grew older and learned that death is part of our life cycle I accepted it and respected it.
Not even when my dad passed away in cancer I feared death.
Myself =P

Never feared death, is a natural part of life that comes sooner or later, deal with it, just make sure you always live up good enough if you die tommorow

When you're alive, you don't think much about it (what for honestly? There's nothing 'on the other side', so deal with it and move on :P) Besides, who has time to sit and think about stuff like that? Maybe some depressed teens, who think about suicide, because some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ captain of basketball team ♥♥♥♥ed chick with bigger boobs and better facebook profile, etc ;) I don't have time for this. Whatever comes, I welcome it.
EDIT: oh and ofkz I'm not afraid of death. I don't have much to lose, because my life is big pile of poo covered in vomit :D

But to answer your question, I'll quote Mark Twain: “I do not fear death. I had been dead for billions and billions of years before I was born, and had not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it.”

I always thought death would feel as an endless rest, a sort of the ultimate sleep without waking. So no, I don't really fear it, but I certainly want to live a full life prior to dying :D

Not afraid to die, i welcome death.
I'm only afraid of how i'm gonna die. If i die someday, i just hope i die peacefully while i'm sleeping.
But anyway, i really doubt it'll happen anytime soon. I cheated death back in 2003, i did it again in 2005 and i did it again last year when i had Purpura and spent 4 months hospitalized and under heavy treatment. So it's fair for me to say that what doesn't kill me, makes me stronger.
Is that all you got, world? Bring it, ♥♥♥♥♥!!

Nope.
Death will be just like it was before I was born and I obviously didn't mind that too much.
My heart stopped on the operating table due to a terrible allergic reaction to some medication the anesthesiologist gave me. No light, no dead family members surrounding me or standing at the pearly gates. Just nothing... No consciousness or awareness and not a care was given.

I'm not afraid of Death, purely because its not the end. At least that's what I believe.
Anyway, I AM afraid of any pain I'll feel when I die, so the best way to go I'd say is never waking.

No, been there done that. I don't fear death itself, just the way it might come. I prefer it so quick I never see it coming or in my sleep. My father took 3+ months to die from an auto accident 10+ years ago and I'm still haunted by it. It was horrible and him in pain and unable to speak due to the breathing tube the entire time.
I might have regrets for things said or left unsaid, acts done or left undone but fear death no. As a teen I did, but no more. Besides death is the ultimate unknown, a permanent adventure so to speak. People can spue all their atheistic or religious philosophies all they want but in the end, what happens after death will always be an unknown. No one knows what if anything lies beyond death. All peoples only have their unproven beliefs no matter what side of the isle they are on. The blackness of non existence or some paradise, the truth will only be revealed to each of us one at a time when we ourselves die.

Very scared, actually.
It's very easy not to think about it, but on those rare occasions when the thought of dying creeps into your mind... it's terrifying. The thing that freaks me out is the fact that I can't fully comprehend what "non-existance" really is like. Not that it "is" in any conventional manner, but you get my point.
It's scary if you think about it. Thankfully I've learned not to.

K, whatever. My heart stopped, thats NOT the same as holding your breath. My body was saying "Fuuuuuuuu! I'm out!"
I most certainly don't believe in any sort of heaven/hell if you're implying that I would've seen anything of the sort had I been brain dead. In my mind, death won't be any different than the time before I was born (just like when you lose consciousness in my case).
Some people are scared and need to believe there's something else, I guess.

I heard this argument lots of time and to me it's pretty idiotic. I mean, why would you be afraid of dying if nothing happened afterwards? To me the only people that would have a reason to be afraid of dying are the ones the believe in heaven/hell, because there is the possibility that they might suffer after death.
So, the only logic conclusion is that people don't believe in heaven because they're afraid to die (or to suffer in the purgatory after they die), and not the other way around.

I'm not afraid of dying... lots of people have done it.
Thats a rather silly conclusion since it has a huge generalization attached to it, btw. I know there are lots of people that would suicide today if they thought it wouldn't ruin their chance of getting into heaven.

The lame reason would be that a lot of people here are putting in their own personal opinions about an afterlife and its existence or nonexistence and that is subject to cause fighting due to the nature of the subject when the thread was about fearing death itself and not what does or doesn't happen after death.
Fear death no but I fear dying young as I would like to die at a time when I have been able to fully live life. I also fear death of others that I love and care for but for myself no.

Personal opinions about an afterlife is valid to this thread though since it surrounds how people perceive (fear or not fear) death.

Religious discussions are not allowed on Steam forums last I checked and afterlife or no after life is obviously an attempt to either bring religious discussion here or to bash on those who do believe in an after life as most of you here have done. I don't believe it is right for a lot of you to criticize people for believing in something you choose not to keep your personal opinions on something like this personal.
