I bought this game yesterday and started playing about 10 levels and had to go out. Today, I want to resume the game...and guess what? It wants me to start over again from the fresh start, completed with custom key bindings that have been reseted.

Well done. Well frecking done.

Are you sure you didn't disable/enable Steam Cloud since yesterday? Maybe that is the problem. :)

Hi, yeah, the settings and progress are stored in the Steam cloud. Did Steam give you any error messages about the Steam cloud when quitting or starting the game later?

(The game saves settings and progress pretty often.)

Would it be possible to toggle saves between local storage and the Steam Cloud? I often have connectivity issues to Steam's Cloud service for whatever reason, and being able to save stuff locally would be awesome.

Thanks!

You can do it.

Just right click the game on Steam and then click the properties and then updates and now disable the Steam Cloud and you will be fine. Game will keep savegame files locally. :)

UGH!

This just happened to me too! Started my game and now I am back at level one! I already have 4 hours put into this game!

I really like this game, but if its gonna randomly loose your progress like that - then I am done playing it.

I will gladly disable the Steam Cloud sync if I need to, but is there any way to get my save game back?

Please help!

Hey, did you get any kind of error message from Steam relating to the Cloud? I'd really like to fix this issue as I know how frustrating losing progress can be.

I do not remember getting any kind of error message or anything.

However, I noticed a message that a steam update was downloaded and needed to restart the steam program. After Steam came back up, I tried Dynamite Jack again - and my save game is back!?

So it may have been a steam glitch on my end maybe?

Thanks for trying to help Phil! Its nice to see the Devs looking in on these forums and offering help :)

i lost my progress too *_* then i forced myself to beat the entire game (with all achievements) in one sitting, took me roughly 6 hours. I don't think ill touch this game ever again though, maybe when you add workshop for custom maps.
