Why is the demo in my library and why can't I uninstall it?

As the title says. Found this is my library today and I haven't put it there. Choosing to 'delete local content' does not remove it. If this is some silly marketing ploy I'm going to be a little upset.

This happened with the Rayman Origins demo, too. Sometimes free stuff gets added to your library on accident. Give 'em some time, they'll fix it.

It's the same for me. I wanted to download the demo but the download window never popped up for me. But when I look at my games list, it shows the demo but it's stuck there. i can't delete it and it won#t download either.

Had the same thing happen to me, sorta. I DLed the demo and played it. Then I got the full game (a nice person bought it for me) and I tried to delete the demo and it wouldn't let me. I tried it again after and it worked.

So try to delete it a few times. It should work eventually.

Same here : appeared today on my list of games and can't be deleted.

By appeared, I mean : appeared on its own, I never asked for that game to be in my library.

Remove "Blades of Time Demo", and then you can remove "Dead Hungry Diner Demo".

Tried Blades of Time demo. It was terrible. Uninstalled it, and Steam let me remove the demo for this, too.

today for the first time ever I found my purchased copy of dead hungry diner had uninstalled itself O_O I redownloaded and the demo was downloaded too which I didnt want, now I cant delete the demo so I got the full game and the demo of dead hungry diner on steam O_O

Yeah, I mentioned the blades of time thing because all the other solutions mentioned getting rid of that to get rid of the demo appearing in my library

Same issue here. I installed Dead Hungry Diner demo, bought the full game and now I can't get rid of the demo in the game list.
I've never had Blades of Time demo or game installed.
