The building is fairly straight forward. But What if I want something different.... like so:

- Chambers with no floor an endless abyss in the late ending of p2.

- Or dirty, run down disheveled, overgrown chambers that have been left to rot.

- Older antique chambers like old cave johnsons area.

- Moving platforms, more wide open behind the scenes areas.

A lot of the portal testing areas seen in the game that I would like to use. I see some people are able to do this but I cant figure out how, unless there is something I'm missing or some website or if their cheating somehow, idk.

You can't with the puzzle maker. You'd need to use Hammer for that.

What I'd do is hook the button to a cube dispenser in an inaccessible region of the map. The cube dispenser drops a cube into a vortex, which then moves the cube towards a button. Thus, you have a timer of variable length (where the length is how long it takes the cube to go from the dispenser to the button).

Gah, this explanation isn't going well. I'll make it in the portal 2 editor when I can, and take a screenshot of what I mean.
