I e-mailed capcom about the bugs in this game (namely the sound issue) and have been reliably informed they have no information regarding this matter, and have no information of possible patches.
So don't say be patient, clearly they are not hard at work on a fix
(Which 7 days after release shouldn't come as much of a suprise)

If you did your research before buying this game youd clearly would have found out that many fans of the RE series finds this game to be a joke for it.
It has horrendous support and the game itself is from what I read/heard is far off from the rest of the series and even at that it doesnt really live up to expectations.
I heard of many bugs being in it and that well devs for it gave up on it as soon as it was released.

actually it's use of the oldschool enemies is probably it's only redeeming quality and why i enjoy it more than RE4 & RE5. That and i really like the raccoon city setting when you're out in the streets and such.
OP could you clarify on who you e-mailed? Was it just some standard Capcom tech support or something? This game is developed by Slant 6, not capcom, i would think e-mailing them would provide a better understanding of whether or not fixes are being worked on.

Yet you would think the people that are taking our money (capcom, not slantsix) would at least care about theyr own products.
If one was to sue somebody for broken product distribution, its capcom not slantsix... they could have just not release it and force their dev (slantsix...) to fix the issues beforehand.
Its their responsability, they are the publisher.
But when you see how ps3/360 didnt received any patchs in months now, its kinda scary.

This game is not going to receive any patches. Capcom is a console publisher and as such are not used to supporting a product after it's release. It's very rare for a game to get patched on a console, even these days when they have the technology in place to support a game post launch. No, the only way this game is going to get any kind of support is if it comes from the community. It's a damn shame this game is so terribly buggy and ported.

Even dead island on consoles did got patches, no idea what you are talking about or what planet you live on, capcom does update their games like everybody... consoles or not.
Now if for some reasons (slantsix... i guess) they abandon this one, I kinda doubt it will go unoticed
Anyway... theres forcably going to be a patch or something because they will want to sell us the spec ops campaign, might takes a while, but something will happen one way or another

Console games are not patched? Why is it every time I don't play an Xbox 360 game for a while I get a "game requires update" screen when I start the game?

So, where's your e-mail? Mind sharing it?
I don't mean to call you out, I'm just more interested to see exactly what they said in response to whatever it is you gave them.
I actually e-mailed them today in a similar fashion. I'll make sure to share whatever word I receive in return.

I've emailed Capcom support, in addition to the Twitter posts I made to Slant Six. The latter I don't expect to hear much of anything from, but the former, I hope at least addresses the problems a bit.

After so much time, I wouldn't expect anything good from either Capcom or Slant Six. Eitherway, it depends on Capcom, most likely they cut their ties with Slant Six already, want to make some quick buck out of the game and forget about it. I'll bet RE6 will ship out with less bugs, than they will make one (1) patch and will be over with it again. That's what they've learned from consoles department, and it seems to be their modus operandi on most (all) PC games too. That's most annoying thing about this company.

Yeah but you forget they wont get our bucks for the dlc until they actually fix it and add them in the store, moot point, anyway they already patched it, many people was playing 2 weeks before release (SP) and in-between it isnt the same build, I think people would have been crazy with the original soundbug.
And yeah of course they havent cutted any ties, there is contracts and stuff you know, that cant just happen magicaly and in the middle of releasing more content, so your totally off track there.

We don't rly know the terms of their contract :) But the DLC point is kinda solid ;D

I own Resident Evil 5, Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition, and Street Fighter x Tekken on Steam and can confirm all of these titles have received regular and necessary patches as needed(interestingly, the Street Fighter x Tekken patch ended up causing some game breaking glitches, which they intend to fix, but that's beside the point).
While they certainly appear to be taking their sweet time we have absolutely no indication to assume they aren't ever going to patch ORC. I mean, there's a first time for everything but I just don't see a reason to really expect the worst yet.

All of those games were developed by Capcom and ported to PC by Capcom (except Street Fighter X Tekken, but... well, the PC version of that isn't exactly on par with the console versions). Third-party PC ports of Capcom games in general are notorious for being broken and staying that way (that being one of the main reasons they started porting their major titles themselves), and with this being a third-party title that was ported by ANOTHER third-party (with the console versions being more than two months overdue for a patch), there's really no reason to be optimistic here.

Sounds like they are dropping support because people didn't grab their wallets enough. LOL.
At least they SAY they are going to patch street fighter x tekken on pc.

Street Fighter IV and Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition on PC weren't done by Capcom either and they still had patches.
Street Fighter IV's PC version was definitely done by Capcom. Super Street Fighter IV is the same as far as I know, but I'm less familiar with that. Street Fighter X Tekken was handed off to the people who ported Dead Rising 2 (a game that - like most everything Capcom's been involved with that was ported by a third party - had serious issues on PC).
And where are you getting the idea that third party Capcom ports are 'broken'? I have many of them and they all work fine. Unless you mean Devil May Cry 3, Onimusha 3 Demon Siege and Resident Evil 4 (Resident Evil 4 is fine since the patch, not sure about the other two) as those were published by Ubisoft on PC. All Capcom published third party developed games are good ports and their in-house ports are top quality.
Devil May Cry 3's port is barely passable. Onimusha 3's more or less unplayable on PC. RE4 is fine, but it took an extremely long time for them to fix it. The only third-party PC ports of Capcom games I can think of over the last 5-10 years that didn't have serious issues at launch are the Bionic Commandos, and those were developed by Grin (Grin being a studio with massive amounts of experience working with and porting to the PC).

The game actually sold considerably better than they expected it to, so the patch delays have nothing to do with that.
At least they SAY they are going to patch street fighter x tekken on pc.
They already submitted the patch for Street Fighter X Tekken on PC, but it has to go through Microsoft for approval (one of the many benefits of insisting to use GFWL).
EDIT: Double-checked - looks like SSFIV was ported by QLOC, not Capcom. Like I said, I wasn't too familiar with that one. Also looks like that game's PC port had some serious issues (unless keyboard detection outright failing for some people and remapping buttons sometimes causing the game to crash entirely, both involving one of the only features added to the PC version, aren't serious).

If the game sold that well than it's a disgrace if they don't support the game in the future.

It's mainly internal politics. The developer works on and proposes patches, Capcom denies them on the basis that they don't like how the fixes are handled/are worried the fixes might cause other issues/whatever else. It's made even worse in this case by the fact that a huge amount of the design decisions involved in the game, and a lot of the top level decisions involved in the game, are being made by Capcom themselves (and, as I understand it, by Capcom's Japanese branch), so that introduces any number of other issues into the mix.
Even if Slant Six can ever manage to produce a patch that Capcom agrees with, it has to be submitted to the console manufacturers for approval first. That takes about a week, at which point the patch would be released on the consoles. Once Capcom's satisfied that the patches work properly on the consoles, they would THEN provide the patch code to the PC version's developer to be ported over, and then that would need to be submitted to Microsoft for approval once again (thanks to the game's use of Games for Windows Live), meaning another week past that before it could hit the PC.
Long story short: there's no knowing how long it's going to take for Slant Six to produce a patch Capcom approves of, and even when they do it'll be a number of weeks before we ever see the fixes involved on PC.

Honestly, if we're going to get all pseudo technical, which you apparently very much enjoy doing, I'll point out that both Street Fighter IV, Super Street Fighter IV, and Street Fighter x Tekken were actually co-developed(and not just the PC versions) by Capcom and Dimps. So, yeah, a third-party was involved from the start.
Furthermore, just about every sentence you type is full of blatant bias or conjecture. Both of which you try and sell as your own special brand of completely skewed facts. You mention that Capcom suddenly has this ill reputation when it comes third-party ported games and pretty much offer absolutely no proof to back any of this up.
I'm sorry, but "well, those games had issues!" or "I read about this!" isn't a valid argument. I own Super Street Fighter IV and Steet Fighter x Tekken, look at my Steam profile, they are there. I don't care what you've "heard" or dreamed up about those games, they are absolutely solid ports. And any issues they had, or future issues they may have, have been or will be fixed.
If you have nothing constructive to add to the topic of thread outside of your rather obvious feelings for Capcom, please, just move on because no one with any kind of common sense cares.

I did this too but i emailed Slant six and warned them that if they do not answer me i would create a petition.
We paid this SO ! They MUST fix this ! I do not waste my money for fuc-ked up things. I do not accept they sell us sh*its. I m so angry because i've been waiting for this game so long.
They did a big mistake by drop their customers with stupid bugs that they are actually ignoring. It is a bad avertissement for Slant six and Hexagone engine.
I know we can trust capcom because they never did this to their customers. They have no fuking right to do this to us and i ll do everything for everyone hear what is coming now if they are still ignoring this

Why is it every time I don't play an Xbox 360 game for a while I get a "game requires update" screen when I start the game?
Because the Xbox's system cache can only hold so many updates before it has to overwrite old ones.
