Hellow there,i m haveing problems with this game.The first time i bought it it worked perfectly,played a few hours (with the enoying sound problem of course) then i quited the game.The second day i tryed to star the game to play,but this time a message with Microsoft Vc Redisst package appered and it wouldn't start.Fine,i uninstalled my Microsoft Visual version,and then installed the one that the game had from it's steam game folder.But now it just won t start......It sais preparing to launch then nothing....What's the deal????

right click on game in steam and "properties" "local files" VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME CACHE...."

Hey man, I got the exact same thing.

Funny thing is I use windows 8. Don't know if it matters. Go to your games exe file and right click, properities and use compability mode (in my case Windows7 or XP works fine). Also can check administrator. And game works better without steam on (just run by exe file - more FPS).

Game is broken in many ways, but at least that made it possible to play it ok (more or less). Hope that helps!

Don t verify integrity me,i m in computers since 2000....Tryed win7 ompatibility and still nothing...

Now i reinstalled the Windowes,it askes me to run it's vxredist.exe thingy.It pops up saying instaling for the first time,but i allready have a redist,that is better that the games and then that thing stops from installing,it apperars like the game is opening and then it shuts down...

I can play the game, however me and many others have a bug, when we launch the game, the redistvc first time installing thing comes up everytime, even though the game has been installed and works. Luckily for us, the process just ends, and the games launches. Sounds like you have the same bug, however your game can't get past that bug.

For some moths it worked... And i didn t had time to play it...And now i wanted to play it a bit it doesn t work....

Now it works and no vredist bug eror...It just Starts...Try deleting your CAPCOM Folder from Documents,or My Documents,then try to start this game.And proprietis Run As Admin Disable Desktop,Virtual Themes,etc..then apply and play,Compatability win7

Confirmed. Worked for me. I still get the Redist install, but at least the game starts now. I just deleted the RERC folder in my Documents\Capcom folder and it starts now.

A bit of advice though, be prepared to lose all your saved data, except what you've unlocked as far as gear goes. I was back to lvl 1 from 2 and didn't have the stealth generator for Vector anymore. BUT it DID make my game play :)
