I was just looking at the store pages for these two games and I now have a question. In the Rise of the Elves description it states that it has the base game and the new campaign. Does that include Dark Prophecy from GR? Or is that specific only to GR?

It seems to me, based on the descriptions, that both games contain the base game but that they each have quests that are unique to their respective versions. To me this means you have to play the game twice (maybe) to get all of the content.

If this is wrong let me know because I am thoroughly confused lol.

Rise of the Elves has it all, so you don't need to replay them all.

IIRC, some of the units stats were changed in RotE. I could have sworn Onyx Gargoyle had 80 armor in Dark Prophecy, for example, but 65 in RotE. I could be wrong and simply remembering wrong, though.

Ah thanks, cool then. But that does sound kind of strange since they are selling both games together in the Gold pack. So I assume RotE also has the two standalone campaigns from GR, Guardians of the Light and Servants of the Dark?

Yes =) Again, it has it all.

Some prefer Gallean's though because there are hints that Rise' accuracy formula is off vs AI.

I can see where it's coming from, as I just lost an entire army against a Very Hard Elf rodplanter since my wizard missed him thirteen times in a row (the endless tree summoning overwhelmed my level 1 party at that point), but I'm not entirely sure if I believe it.

The Guardians of light and Servants of the dark campaigns are not included in Rise of the Elves.

This made me look it up.

I've always thought and believed they were included, and no one had ever said otherwise.

After looking it up, I've been wrong and i9urd is correct. Seems they are not included.

I apologize :(
