First, I want to excuse for, may be, bad language. English - isn't my native, but I try. =)
Let's start.
Everyone, who has the steam version of the game.
1) Go to the folder, where the steam installed.
X:\Steam\SteamApps\Common\Max Payne 3\Max Payne 3\MaxPayne3.exe
This is how it looks now. We want to change it to the next one
X:\Steam\SteamApps\Common\MaxPayne3\MaxPayne3\MaxP ayne3.exe
Without spaces in the name of the game.
After this changing and trying to launch the game from steam, we will have message, that the game don't evaluable at this time. It's alright.
2) Push the "Start" button, "Run...".
Type regedit -> OK.
3) Push Ctrl+F, type Max Payne 3 (*with spaces). And push find.
4) Everytime, when we found this words with spaces, as we asked, we need to change it to MaxPayne3 (*without spaces). It doesn't matter, where we found it, left side in the column under the name "name" or in the right side in the column under the name "value".
If we found it in the left column under the name "name" -> push F2 -> change Max Payne 3 to MaxPayne3, another words make editing.
If we found it in the right column under the name "value" -> RMB* the corresponding line in the left column "name" -> change -> make editing.
5) Now, go to the next folder with new adress
X:\Steam\SteamApps\Common\MaxPayne3\MP3_Installers \
Where we can find SteamUninstaller.exe - application. Size on disk 7,50 KB (7*680 byte). Launch it once.
6) Now here
X:\Steam\SteamApps\Common\MaxPayne3\MaxPayne3\
Create CommandLine.txt. It's our menu for changing options in game. Now there is some problems with FOV, so I recommend you to play in window. There is next commands for it, which you can find in the next folder
D:\Steam\steamapps\common\maxpayne3\MaxPayne3\LANG _README, choose your language and open readme file.
Bad side - we can't launch game using steam.
Good side - overlay, community, friend list and steam "time in game" working, you just need to execute the .exe file from folder.
I have next configuration. i7-2700k, gtx460 1Gb, 8Gb RAM, Win7x64. And I had the problem. Crash after launch and nothing happend next without any errors. Rockstar help didn't help me.
