View Full Version : Anyone else not excited?

I am a long time COD player and for the first time I am not excited to play the new COD. I am not really sure why but it just seems like nothing changes and it is always the same thing with a few tweaks.

Are there any log time players sharing the same feeling as me?

Yep I have little to no interest whatsoever in the next CoD title.

They have a slight chance at getting me to buy if it has proper ranked dedicated servers and decent gameplay...

However there's nothing they could say, show, or do that would make me excited about this game prior to it's launch.

I would agree, I think I am going to wait until launch day to buy it if I do buy it(Assuming that there will be ranked dedicated servers no via game servers)

What's wrong being a virgin especially if you are a girl? :-)

Talking of things being exactly the same, did you really think that your comment that each COD title is exactly the same was original? Just look around this forum Pal. Plenty of people have already said it a million times.

Seriously, try to come up with something original. It's getting really old keep reading the same inane comments all the time.

Agreed. I wont get excited or interested until they answer that all-important question: will it or wont it have ranked dedicated servers.

Fortunately, there are plenty of interesting games coming out this year that have already gotten my attention: Far Cry 3, MOH:Warfighter, and CounterStrike:GO to name just three. If it turns out that BO2 wont have ranked dedicated servers, there are those games to take away the disappointment.

Nothing changes ? As for pc, it changes. ALOT.

A) Dx 11
B) They have dedicated PC Team.
C) Zombies are going to be more awesome :)

I wasn't excited about MW3. Then I bought it anyway and have had a lot of fun with it. And I still have. You never know.

Dedicated PC team and DX11 support? Maybe it will even support nVidia 3D vision, at which point I will for the first time ever get excited over the single player part of a CoD title.

Not sure what the op is talking about. You can become any soldier on the map at any time. I've never seen that in any other cod title. You can fail a mission and it doesn't end. You can zoom to a commander role and watch the action and help out in different areas, etc..
It's very different then the last cod title.

I'm excited, can't wait to see some multiplayer gameplay. I've been playing COD since the very first one (on PC of course), best FPS out in my opinion. I like how they keep the basic Call of Duty feel every game but then innovate the series itself. It'll be a hit (like every year), unfortunately this is one of the same reasons why people choose to hate the series.

Not going to fall for this again.

It isn't up to you to come here on these forums and judge for me whether I have a bad taste or not. Don't talk to me like I'm some sort of sheep -- just look at my games list. I don't own MW2 nor MW3. I KNOW what I'm doing, I don't need some clots bugging me about how "bad" a game is based on their assumptions. Hell, this game isn't even fully revealed yet.

It seems like every single one of you people bashing on these forums try to look smart, clever and funny. It's like you guys are becoming stereotypes of yourselves. Makes me feel disgusted from even coming here. Oh, the joy of SPUF...

E) Walking robots as killstreak reward

I think that is going to be a kill streak based on a leaked image. Personally, I'm 80/20 on it. I can see it most likely going to happen, but part of me isn't sure.

Only on snipers, A few games do that, I don't class that as bullet drop.

So sorry, still a sim wannabe.

Yeah, I'm not really pumped for this one. It's looks kinda...."meh" to me.. just so generic and trying to hard to be futuristic.

I'm looking forward to Medal of Honor: Warfighter instead, I thought the Single Player in that game look a lot better.

We are not so excited because it looks similar to mw3 but dont worry trailers and gameplays are coming and you will see that it will be cool and great game compared to the old cods.

No, all weapons have bullet drop (and bullet travel time), actually, it's different for each weapon as they have different calibres and bullet velocities.

BF3 is definitely not a realistic game, I say this as someone that plays the game a lot, I just felt like correcting you. :D

Hahahaha, Nitro tries a come back. Come on man, you already have been proven a fraud the moment you said RO is a console game. Even the dev himself brushed you off, LOL!!!!

No Nitro, you have no say on what is or is not a sim and even less an wannabe sim. You know that anyway. :)

I'll be lenient this time though and will, rather than "explain", show you some differences between a crappy game and a real good game:

Was this the same RO2 that actually had an Xbox 360 folder in its install directory? Was it? Was it? Oh yes, point proved, the unoptimisation, the console like controls, the fact everyone quit on day one saying it wasn't a console focused game? Oh and yets not forget the recent update that added more console like gameplay?

“Action” mode – Featuring a crosshair, easier aiming and toned down recoil, reduced damage and open access to a wide range of weaponry Action mode is the perfect first step for players into the world of Red Orchestra.

Did you also remember me saying Battlefield 3 was created for consoles? Yes? Well this news article proved it
http://bf3blog.com/2011/11/battlefield-3-lead-platform-was-on-consoles-after-all/

The only thing I actually got wrong in that year was Skyrim being a buggy mess. It was actually surprisingly stable which surprised me.

I don't see a difference, its exactly the same game, different paint.

This is a good game

Heres another one

And heres a final
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Z-gU2J7nPM

Notice how all three of them, despite being made by completely different companies, play completely differently? Meanwhile in your gunworld, both games are exactly the same. Notice that yet? No? Then sorry buddy, your clueless.

Well you probably didn't directly. But saying someone has a bad taste and that people should feel thankful for this marauding horde of people who dislike the game? It just gets people even more jarateed off if anything. Also taste is like ♥♥♥ - everyone has its own.

LOL!!! :D
Thought I'd make that clear on how "liking CoD" doesn't mean said person is a "mindless sheep". But yeah. How funny can that be, right? Duh.

I have played every call of duty from the first one on, and I must say, this will be why people hate it. The series has been in decline from World at War on, maybe modern warfare 2 on, but that’s a stretch. The market is flooded with the same game year after year, notice how most other game series wait a few years so people get hyped up and the development is not copy and paste. Grand theft auto has so far had FIVE games in the same city, liberty city, yet fans don't get bored. The equation is simple, get a great team to make what was good even better but don't go back to the same place every game. They change parts of the city, add HUGE amounts of gameplay, new mechanics and so forth.

This game will be the final nail in the coffin before the series dies or goes into a larger decline.

Funny how people complain about lack of changes in the games when this is the first time in a long time the series is something other than Modern Warfare.

Treyarch is taking the series in a good direction, Infinity Ward is taking it in a bad direction.
