Hello if you are starting out on lotro and are looking for the best populated English eu server come join Laurelin.

It is the only true en roleplaying server in the game thanks to codemasters therefore ALL names must be RP mature so you will not see silly names and gibberish.

Its a very fun and friendly server with rp events going on almost always and it also has an american community due to it being the only true RP enforced server, there is an unnoficial american rp server but its not enforced.

So if you're new and looking for a big fun friendly active server come join us !!!

New players looking for the Biggest EU English speaking server come join us. It is an RP server so naming policy is enforced.

There are also a lot of americans due to the americans not having an Official RP server.

From my understanding, Landroval is the unofficial US roleplay server, since Turbine refuses to endorse any servers as RP only. The ones labled RP are from Codemasters.

Would help to point that out to people who are looking for a US based RP server.

If you cant tolerate chavs with ballsdeep for names and 10 year old kids running around calling eachother names and who are not even intrested in lotro, dont join any other server...

I don't think I have seen something like this on Eldar.

I have many times, ive forced changed about 11 peoples names so far when i was on eldar a year ago before i returned and went RP, RP servers are for the more mature community who love the lord of the rings IP and Lore and want to share it.

I didn't say anything about names. Anyone can use whichever name he likes on non-RP server as soon as it's not against rules. I was talking about the behaviour you described in the second part of your post.

Btw are you saying that the community on non-rp servers is immature and doesn't love the LotR lore?

Is that a general statement or one directed towards me? I respect Laurelin, but when I was there, I came across situations where people had been calling each other names (excluding role-play) which I found worrying.

I love LotR but I avoid the RP servers for two reasons. One, I like to talk to people about not RP stuff from time to time, and two, I don't know if I can make the switch to Middle Earth grammar and speaking styles. Plus, I don't know the lore by heart like some folks.

And why do people always say this, i dont join rp servers because iw ant to speak about normal things with normal people? well the kin im in is not an RP Kin, and unless its /say in an are with roleplay you dont have to roleplay and /ooc and /lff and /globallff is not rp. because a server has roleplayer sand rp events does not mean its some wierdo hardcore rp only universe.
