New Recruits

I have a question about new recruits. Can new party members only be recruited at a recruiter or can you also find new members out in the game world? I had first heard about this game from a Game Informer article (can't remember which month) and from what I gathered, it sounded like you could find other members out in the field, kinda like the Pokemon games. There was a game for the NES back in the day called Destiny of an Emperor where you could recruit generals that you defeated and I loved that aspect of the game. So when I heard that Krater may have a similar system, I couldn't wait.

I've played the game for about an hour and haven't come across any new members out in the field yet, so maybe this question will answer itself the more I play. If that's not the case, I think it'd be a pretty neat feature to have, especially since the recruits have 'rarities' assigned to them just like items. And if the devs are reading this, I love the game so far. Keep up the good work.

According the the devs, there are random encounters which net you new characters. Think of Hook :)

Correct there are characters to be found in quests as well!

can recruits be get rid of as well, ie if i have a bruiser with 3 permanent injuries rather than wait till he dies just fire him instead?

I've got another dumb question - you have your basic team - then you have additional recruits - where the heck are they? Or do you only ever have a team of 3? The game isn't very good at explaining things like this, in my opinion.

You can have as many recruits as you want, but you can only ever have 3 active at the same time. Just open the team management (default 'C') to select which three you want on active duty. :)

I have found 1 in game event character named Yimmie, my game crashed 2 times after recruiting him (without saving that he was recruited), but the third time I tried it worked.
