Private Multiplayer Disconnect

When trying to start a private game with a friend, the host gets disconnected as soon as he clicks start game. This happens regardless of who is the host. Additionally the latency says 10-15 seconds. Any suggestions/help?

this is happening to me too,i even with the steam client beta on.i would really like to know how to fix this,hopefully its fixed by tuesday.
