I can't seem to find a manual on Spore anywhere. None came with the download, and there isn't any online. I can't use the EA forums as they don't accept new Spore threads and all info has been transferred to Twitter and Facebook (neither of which do I use.)

Can someone explain the mechanics of creating and using "packs" in the game? During the creature phase, supposedly you can add other creatures to your "pack", and while I see the empty icons in the bottom right of the screen, I can't find any other reference to them in the game. What are they and how are they accessed and used?

Kinda frustrating and confusing.

Wedll, they are just other creatures of your own or of allied species, which follow you and support you on your "adventures".

To add a member to your pack (under the asumption that your creature is inteligent enough and has a place in its pack free) you just have to do the same thing as you do when you try to befriend other species, just that in this case you have to target allied species (i.e. you target a member of your own or an allied species and then try to do what your counterpart does [i.e. singing, dancing or whatever]).
