Bug in realmyst for iPad

Whilst visiting the Mechanical Age, I found myself unable to access the elevator at times, even though the stairs to the "basement" we're up. As I approached the elevator, I would sink down through the stairs as if they were down. I noticed that when pressing the button to lower or raise the stairs, my point of view would dip down just a little as the stairs were being activated. Perhaps this is some sort of bug with the stair "engine" affecting objects around it? Please fix! Thank you!!!

P.s. it doesn't make a difference if you save and restart were you left off, once the stairs are " broken" it's next to impossible to get by them. Played on my iPad 2 16M upgraded to iOS 5.1
