Hello everybody!

Since Quantum Conundrum came out, me and a friend decided to do a let's play series and we would appreciate if you could give us some feedback. Thanks and have a nice day!

Sight unseen, my first instincts are that a blind LP of a puzzle game seems like a tough choice unless you employ some heavy editing - there's plenty of parts which you'll be standing around wondering how to complete a puzzle later on, and it's not going to be enjoyable to watch unless you have some really great commentary. Unfortunately, a blind run of a game means you probably won't have great commentary at that point because you'll be busy trying to figure out the level.

So good luck and I recommend preparing some material in advance to fill those segments in.

I like your commentary and all but a blind LP of a puzzle game really isn't all that entertaining.

Nice Commentary. Generally I don't care for too many Let's Play because often its some guy babbling to himself saying the F word practically in every sentence. :)

^This.
I pretty much can't stand how "let's play" has become such a common phrase on Youtube... The quality of entertainment and/or information in 99% of those videos is horrendous.

OP seems to be one of the few exceptions, however. And it also makes me feel less stupid... I think every stupid "what do I do know" moment I had is in that video too :p

Thanks for the feedback so far. We prefer to play puzzle games blind because otherwise it'd be a walkthrough and not a let's play video anymore. Sometimes we might get stuck just for a little bit but eventually we do get through the levels, besides if it'll take too long we'll just edit it out a little.

I agree that it might be a little bit tricky to have a good commentary when you mainly focus on solving the puzzles but that's the advantage of having 2 people.

Anyway, thanks again for the feedback, much appreciated <3

I have to disagree with everyone, when you're playing a game like Quantum Conundrum where the only gameplay is puzzle solving, not doing it blind is just boring and short, except to show all of the collectables. I have only watched one LP and that is Jonathan Paula's blind Portal LP. Any other I can't see very interesting.

I'm going to watch your series all the way through once I'm done with the one I'm watching now, on a few of the puzzles I feel like I did them the wrong way. I might not have, so watching you do them will be very interesting.

Hey Ninto, hopefully you are going to enjoy it. It's a shame that regardless of how many views we get, not a lot of people comment or subscribe. Maybe some people are just lazy.

On the other hand, when you have a "gamer" girl playing a game while she shows herself with a webcam, getting comments and subscribers is not an issue for her. Quite sad how it is.

Anyway, just wanted to update you that more more parts from our Let's Play Series are getting uploaded right now, in case you are enjoying them of course. You'll find them in our playlist.

Enjoy! :)

I was going to comment on the first one - can't remember if I did, but I think I came back here to say what I said instead.

True, but it's not really worth watching a let's play of a puzzle game unless you're either stuck (So you probably want to be very specific about the parts you watch to get unstuck without spoiling the rest - like a walkthrough), have already finished it (so you're likely to be thinking 'sheesh, use the fluffy dimension' when watching someone trying to solve it :) ) or have no interest in playing it (which doesn't suggest they'd want to watch it either...)

Otherwise it's just x minutes of spoilers.

Hence why most popular videos tend to be showing walkthrough solutions or doing some kind of speed run or minimum switches or showing a novel alternative to the common solution or, as you say, a video of something aesthetically pleasing like a woman.
