I am considering between buying Spec Ops The Line and Ghost Recon Future Soldier primarily for single player gaming. I have tried the Demo of the Spec Ops The Line and it works fine on my PC. I like shooters with strong campaign stories, therefore I am asking for a piece of advice here - should I buy this game or not? What do you think? The demo does not disclose much of the game, but here are some observations that I have noticed:
- strange control key layout (I don't know maybe it will be possible to remap the controls)
- weapon portrayal is a bit not realistic (not much recoil, extremely precise)
So what to choose GR:FS or this game? I really don't know. Buying both would be too expensive at the moment. Thanks for advice.

I would definitely recommend Ghost Recon over this, "Story" in this kind of game amounts to "shoot these civvies and get support" or "don't shoot them and get civil aid".

I did some research on new Ghost Recon game and decided to purchase Spec Ops: The Line in the result. First of all, there is no demo for the Ghost Recon available, second, it is a pure futuristic shooter and Spec Ops will have somewhat of stronger plot in a campaign.

Good call. Future Soldier have better gameplay mechanics/features while Spec Ops have a stronger story.
I bought both. I enjoyed the demo but you can clearly tell it's a generic shooter. I bought it solely for the story, which seems to be worth it.

I bought both aswell(Well Steam has been randomly handing me free games and my most recent one was Spec Ops: The Line with the DNF Bonus game..), solely for the single player. I can tell Spec Ops is a bit generic but maybe the story will be interesting.

I played the multi of this at e3 for a few hours, it's more fun than ghost recon which I also played. I like ghost recon too, just saying the multi was really fun for this at e3. more people were playing it than ghost recon. Not to mention UBI can't release GR at midnight, so I won't buy it now. Maybe later. Too many other games coming out tonight at midnight.
