Very inspiring, informative and emotional documentary.
Go and buy it directly from filmmakers

or buy it here on steam.

I confess that at first I only downloaded this movie from a torrent site, but after watching it, there is no way that I would not support this masterpiece. If you are interested in indie games, maybe want to create some by yourself in the future you must see this. And it's certainly worth the price. :D

It was interesting to see the stories behind arguably some of the best indie releases ever, but the guys that made them I mostly just found irritating.

Jonathan Blow was depressed about Braid because some people didn't 'get' it (it uses a YouTube video of Soulja Boy playing and saying "There ain't even no point to the game, you don't get no points or nothin'" to evidence this. What? Who the f**k cares what he thinks?). He didn't care it got fantastic reviews, made him a heap of money and that many people apparently did 'get' and love it.

Tommy from Team Meat was similarly annoying. He spend a decent chunk of time complaining about working on Meat Boy, despite apparently living to develop games and then when it released and the sales figures and reviews came in he was like "I don't give a s**t" - when his hard work pays off he doesn't care? He also said he'd hate to work at EA, Epic or somewhere because mainstream games are "complete s**t", which is complete s**t. Edmund of Team Meat I liked.

That brings us onto Phil Fish; I actually didn't mind Fish, but saying he'd commit suicide if he couldn't finish Fez is pretty moronic.

They were all clearly passionate, but some really didn't show it with the amount of b***hing and stupid philosophising they did.

I don't see what all the fuss is about with this one, which is a shame as I love my indie games.

That's alright. You're clearly more of an "ignorance is bliss" type guy.

Not at all, I just didn't think the film was anything special - I've seen plenty of better documentaries (maybe not on this subject, but in general).

Before you just dismiss that comment as you did my last, know that I have 4 years of Film & Media studies under my belt and have worked on documentaries. Not saying this makes my opinion right, or you wrong for seeing more in the film than I did; but it does make me qualified to speak on the subject and show I'm anything but ignorant when it comes to this genre/medium.
