Hey guys.

So i've been having a ton of problems with rendering. My main complaint right now is that I can't use lagarith as my output codec which seems pretty much pants on head ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, but ignoring that.

I've spent a bit of time working on a scene. It's about 50secs long. It renders out fine if I use 720p, but any time I try to render at 1080p the program just crashes on me.

I've tried pretty much every combination of codecs, and I haven't changed any of the advanced options from their defaults. Is there something I'm missing here? The project was originally created at 720p, but surely it shouldn't matter?

tho it might be irrelevant... what's your screen resolution?

i'm unclear if this is possible but you could run windowed and this may work to render bigger than the screen. this an old fullscreen issue tho.

I have a 2 monitor set up. 1920x1200 + 1920x1080.

edit: Now it's even crashing when I try to bring up the save location dialog box.

It's beta. It's supposed to crash. Send in a bug report.

Mine is doing the same thing, I haven't had a problem rendering in 720 though.

just a thought have you tried to close as many unwanted programs i.e antivirus's and the like to free up some extra RAM for the program to use ?

I have 16GB of RAM, RAM is not an issue.

Having the same issue. Every other render setting is fine but 1080p results in a crash.

BTW: If you do crash go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SourceFilmmaker\game and find your .mdmp files and submit them to the sfm bug report email. I'm sure they will help to narrow down the problem.

Good grief, I have the same issue as well.

In the leak, this option was available if you have a monitor of a resolution of 1920x1080 or larger, now it's not (unless you set a custom resolution)

That's because the option was removed in yesterday's patch. I assume it'll be back when it works.
