I'm wait and wait and wait and wait and wait,a few days. Nothing. 1 week? Nothing. I wish to get SFM, I love but I don't have SFM...

Someone know when I get the Free Invite?

Just wait, it's random. You'll probably get one eventually.

I'm guessing the full version will come out in two, three... six months tops.

Then on the other hand, episode 3.

1: Next Tuesday.
2: In about 6.93 years.

In all seriousness, it's random. You might not get into the beta at all, or you'll get in at some random time. Signing up is not a sure way to get into beta, it just means that you have the chance.
The official release will be SOON (Soon Or Otherwise Never).

I know I won't get one, because I'm lucky like that, what I was really wondering was when it will become a simple "Download" button for everyone and not just random people.
I'm totally random sometimes, I don't get it why I never get anything :(

I'm beginning to think Valve hates me as well.
Signed up for Dota 2 and CS:GO betas the same day they were made available; nope, no invite.
Did the same with SFM. No invite.

I figured I would have at least gotten into CS:GO by now or something, sheesh.

Seems Valve Time has struck you, I had to buy a CS:GO Beta key, I just got SFM yesterday, and I randomly got DOTA 2... so you're not the only one, but Valve has been nice to me. BTW, why don't u trick Valve by making a bunch of Steam Accounts, with F2P TF2, and sign up for the SFM Beta, you'll have a greater probability of getting a key.

I'm not one to do that. It reduces everybody else's chances and I don't find that to be very fair to them.

Oh dear God I hope you're wrong!!
I can't wait that long... I have soooo many ideas and since it's summer I have free time to make them happen... :( From september things will change and I'll be busy as crap...
I really hope there is a second wave of beta invites because I'm going insane seeing all those awesome videos on youtube. :(

I got invited to CS:GO and DOTA2 betas though, maybe there is hope for me.

Some of you participated in DotA 2 beta, CS:GO beta, BF3 beta and God knows how many other betas...
The only beta I've EVER managed to get into was Brick-Force beta (which was BS, tbh) which I never really played.

It seems that mostly only people that have no interest in actually using SFM got the access to it.
That said, there are already tons of neat videos, but it's highly likely that a good deal of those keys are just sitting there.

I got into Brick Force Beta. Then played one day, realized the game was atrociously bad, and uninstalled it.

I have it and it seems pretty stable. I wouldn't be surprised if it was out inside a month (but don't quote me on that!).

Whats That Even Mean?

Random: proceeding, made, or occurring without definite aim, reason, or pattern: the random selection of numbers.

So if Valve randomly selects people to join the beta, it mean that they proceed to invite without a definite aim, reason and/or pattern.

If you didn't get invited last week, or the week before, you have another chance this upcoming week (provided the random number generator works in your favour).

The only recent beta I signed up for, and got an invite was the CS:GO beta.

I signed up for the SFM beta the day they announced it, no invite as of yet. But I will get access to SFM eventually, whether or not it is before it goes gold is up to the Random Number Generator.
